✨ A little about me… ✨

Hi, I’m Meghan, and I thought it was time to reintroduce myself and share a little about my journey. 🐾

Originally from Kildare, I’ve called the West of Ireland home for the past 13 years. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2012 and spent several years working in veterinary clinics around Kildare, Galway and Mayo.

Working closely with orthopaedic patients and seeing their recovery inspired me to further my knowledge and return to study Veterinary Physiotherapy in the UK in 2016.

After recently taking a step back from veterinary nursing, I’m now working full-time doing physiotherapy - combining my love of animals with my passion for helping them recover, move comfortably and enjoy life to the fullest.

I’ve loved animals from a young age and always knew I wanted a career working with them, so I feel very lucky to be doing what I love every day. ❤️

Thank you for being here and following my journey! 🐶🐱

🐾 What conditions can physiotherapy help with?

Just like us, pets can benefit from physiotherapy to help them move more comfortably, build strength and maintain a good quality of life.

Physiotherapy may help pets with:

🦴 Osteoarthritis & degenerative joint disease

🐕 Hip & elbow dysplasia

🏥 Recovery after surgery

🧠 Neurological conditions

💚 Chronic pain & stiffness

Treatment is tailored to your pet’s individual needs and can support mobility, strength, balance and confidence.

If you’ve noticed your pet slowing down, struggling with movement, or recovering from an injury or surgery, physiotherapy may be worth discussing with your vet.

📩 Get in touch to discuss your pet’s needs or to arrange an appointment

Veterinary referral required.

🐾 What is Animal Physiotherapy?

Animal physiotherapy helps support your pet’s movement, comfort, strength and overall wellbeing through tailored, non-invasive rehabilitation.

It can help to:

🐾 Relieve pain & stiffness
🐾 Improve mobility & flexibility
🐾 Build strength & stability
🐾 Support recovery after injury or surgery
🐾 Maintain quality of life as pets age

Every treatment begins with a thorough assessment of your pet, allowing me to develop a personalised rehabilitation plan based on their individual needs. I work closely alongside your veterinary surgeon to support your pet throughout their rehabilitation and help them achieve the best possible functional outcome.

📋 A veterinary referral is required prior to treatment.

📩 To make an appointment or discuss your pet’s requirements, please get in touch via email [email protected] or by phone 089 2584409

Some of todays physio cuties in for their treatment’s 🐶🐾

Kit the Greyhound comes to me for monthly maintenance for some arthritis issues. Her little sister Nora always comes for moral support 🥰

Lovely Polly was in for her 3rd physio session after having surgery for a cruciate ligament injury. She is the best girl 🐾

Meet Token 😎

This cheeky chappie is 14 years old and is one of my physio regulars. Token and I don’t really see eye to eye all the time, so his lovely pink donut (which he is rather embarrassed by) saves me from his quick teeth 🦷
He suffers with some nerve deficits and struggles with his back legs at times. His owners are very good at keeping him comfortable and he loves his “puggy buggy” so he can watch the world go by 👀

Could your dog be showing symptoms of arthritis?

Signs of arthritis are not always obvious, they can often be quite subtle.

Below are some subtle signs that your dog may be experiencing some discomfort.

Physiotherapy can aid in the management of arthritis by reducing pain, improving muscle strength and helping to preserve joint function.

If you are concerned that your dog may be experiencing signs of pain, please contact your vet 🐶
