🧸 Little puppy, big transformation! ✨

This gorgeous six-month-old Schnauzer visited Happy Paws for his very first groom, and he was the best boy! 💙 His owner chose a teddy bear trim, with soft, rounded styling to bring out that adorable little face.

A beautiful finish starts long before the haircut. His pamper included Houndsly Deep Cleansing Shampoo, an iGroom facial and The Pawdinary Mother Fluffer Intense Detangling Spray , premium products paired with careful coat preparation and skilled sc******ng. ✂️🫧

🐾 Grooming is about so much more than looking good! 🐾

For certain breeds and crossbreeds, regular grooming is an essential part of maintaining their health, comfort and overall welfare.

This handsome Doodle was in for his first groom with me today, and just look at the amount of hair that was growing inside his ear! 😳

Excessive hair within the ear canal can contribute to poor airflow and trap moisture and debris, potentially increasing the risk of irritation and ear infections.

It’s little things like this that show why professional grooming is about much more than a haircut. ✂️🐶

Regular grooming allows us to check areas that owners might not notice at home, helping to identify potential problems before they become more serious.

A well-groomed dog isn’t just a pretty dog, it’s a more comfortable one too! 💕

He popped into Happy Paws for his very first groom today, and what a transformation! ✂️🐶

From fluffy puppy to a handsome little gentleman, all while keeping that gorgeous puppy look! 🥰

🐾 Seamus & Paddy were in during the week for a good deshedding session! 🛁💙

The boys were treated to a thorough wash using iGroom Deshedding & Degreasing Shampoo, formulated with bamboo charcoal to help draw out impurities and deeply cleanse the coat while being gentle on the skin.

Next up was Blown Away Deshedding Spray, with its gorgeous strawberry, jasmine and avocado fragrance! 🍓🌸

This fabulous spray helps hydrate and nourish the coat, loosen compacted undercoat and add a beautiful, healthy shine without weighing the coat down. ✨

A thorough blow-dry helped lift out all that loose, dead undercoat, leaving the boys feeling lighter, looking fabulous and smelling amazing!

🐶 Deshedding isn’t just about removing loose hair! It also helps maintain a healthy coat, reduce shedding around the home and prevent undercoat from becoming compacted.

Two handsome boys, a whole lot less fluff and two beautifully fresh coats! 💙🐾

🐾💕 Holly getting a little pawdicure! 💅🐶

There’s a lot more to a doggy pawdicure than simply clipping the nails and calling it a day!

After clipping, I carefully file each individual nail. This allows me to get them a little shorter, smooth and round off any sharp edges, and help manage the direction of nail growth where needed.

To finish, I clip away any excess hair from between the paw pads. 🐾

This helps to:

🐾 Prevent matting between the paw pads

🐾 Allow paws to dry quicker after walks on wet ground

🐾 Improve grip, particularly on slippery surfaces like tiles and laminate flooring

🐾 Keep those little paws neat, tidy and comfortable!

It’s the little details that make a big difference! 💗🐾
