Week 1 - When Your Pet Passes Away at Home š
There is no easy way to say goodbye to a member of your family. When the time comes, it can be difficult to know what to do next.
The following simple steps will help -
1) Check that your pet has definitely passed away (you will know)
2) Call Donegal Pet Crematorium on 086 3833434 or send a message.
3) Place your pet in a comfortable place such as their bed or favourite mat and keep them somewhere cool. You can cover them with a blanket if you wish.
4) Upset and shock is natural at this stage. It is best to take some time and stay calm. We will guide you and let you know what will follow.
Should you have a home euthanasia, the following steps will help -
1) When you make the booking for the euthanasia vet, book the pet crematorium at the same time.
2) When you book we will ask if you require a home collection or if you would prefer to bring your pet here yourself.
3) When you arrive at your appointment time, we will take care of bringing your pet in. Should we collect your pet from home, we place your pet in our wicker basket or keep your pet in their own bed for comfort.
4) We provide all information on cremation times, packages and returns.
Everything will be made transparent for you.
You can ask us as many questions as you like. Ask anything - Remember you are doing this for your pet.
At Donegal Pet Crematorium, we understand that your pet was more than an animal. They were your companion, your comfort and a part of everyday life.
Choosing private cremation gives you the opportunity to have your beloved companion cremated individually, with their ashes returned to you, so you can keep their memory close.
Take a breath, give yourself time and know that support is available.
ā¤ļø Because every pet deserves a dignified goodbye.
