The Celtic Coat Awards is a prestigious Annual Awards Gala that recognises professionals in the Pet Industry that are making their mark on all things Dog and Cat Grooming.

I absolutely love helping fellow groomers in any way I can. From training days that help groomers improve their every day salon grooms to feedback in the competition ring - and definitely encouraging someone to get into the competition ring in the first place!

I always say to anyone nervous about Competing - Think of it as a personal development goal. You will be your own trainer in the weeks leading up to the day, you will improve every day because of the goal you have set yourself! Get into that ring and do the best groom you can on the day. Get your feedback from your Judges and go home with your homework! And repeat for the next one! Its one of the best and easiest ways to keep improving! Placing on the day is a cherry on top. But the improvements you will have made just by setting that goal is what will stay with you!

To be nominated in the first place is heartwarming! To be nominated next to all those inspiring groomers who I look up to, is UNREAL!!! Thankyou to those who nominated me. It means the world to me 🥰

Fabulous trip to Belguim competing as part of the Irish Team. It was such a fabulous few days and an absoult career highlight to step into that ring! And making gorgeous new friends along the way too. 💚☘️🐾🇮🇪

Charlie, the Mini Poodle puppy, came for his 1st big boy haircut. He has been in for puppy pamper sessions before. He starts off a little stressed as he is still getting used to the whole process/being away from home and family etc. By the end, he was so relaxed that he was starting to doze off 🐾🧡 The more sessions a puppy has in those early days, the better.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of having Emily and Hayley at my salon for an upskilling day. The 2 women produced beautiful grooms and hopefully going home with a few new tips and techniques to use going forward. Thanks for a great day 💖✂️🐾

This weekend I took the gorgeous Poppy to in Kinsale to compete in
The Champion Pure Breed Scissor class. ✂️ Delighted to come home with 1st place 🏆

This was
Debut Event and she knocked it out of the park!! Already looking forward to next year's. 🙌

It was such a fun weekend, getting to catch up with all my grooming buddies 😍🤟🥴

The next date in my Diary is the AGM on July 5th. Any members who wish to share their opinions/have their say are encouraged to attend the meeting either in person or online. Grab a friend and come join in the conversation and help build the future shape of the ipdga. 🥰
