Thanks Eimear, for the interview. ❤️ It’s never easy talking about yourself and sharing your story, but here goes…

From foals to HOYS glory. Fiona Grimes' remarkable Copperbeech story, the foundation mares behind the champions and a love of Connemaras.

Two sets of sisters, one mission: defend each other, team up, and enjoy the grass 🥰

When we talk about generations, this is what I mean. Two full sisters by Currachmore Cashel, out of Copperbeech Guinevere, with their granddam An Cheathrú Chaol Bláthnaid — all tracing back to Lishin Star.

25 years in the making. Generations of breeding, preserving bloodlines, and staying true to a vision.

As the dust settles on a magical week, it’s a time to reflect on what breeding is really all about.

As breeders, we do our very best to make the right decisions, carefully matching our mares with the right stallions in the hope of improving and enhancing what we already have. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t — but that’s breeding for you!

We all dream of those big days at Clifden, Dublin, HOYS and beyond. Those special moments make all the disappointments, setbacks and difficult days worthwhile.

Breeding a pony like Encore is never simply a matter of chance. It can take generations of careful planning, patience and dedication to produce something truly special. But finding the right home, a home like Debbie’s, is absolutely priceless. You can never put a value on a good home, where a pony is loved, appreciated and given every opportunity to shine.

With Encore, we truly hit the jackpot, as we have with so many of the wonderful homes our ponies have found. Mayo waited 75 years to win the All-Ireland, and Jack reminded us in his speech: never stop dreaming.

Because breeding is not just about ribbons or accolades. It is about generations of hope, the ponies we produce, the homes they find and the dreams they inspire. ❤️
