Please see an “early warning” from Met Eireann about expected Nematodirus hatch. (Round worm)

Based on meteorological data up to March 25th, the peak egg hatch is expected to occur from the end of march to the early days of April in most coastal regions and parts of the southwest and west. However, for inland areas of Leinster and Connaught egg hatching is more likely to be in the second week of April. At-risk lambs (i.e. typically 6 to 12 weeks of age and grazing on contaminated pasture) should be treated approximately two weeks after the peak of Nematodirus egg hatching.

Watch this space!

A few of you might have wondered about this profile lately. It is still being administered by Tycusker Veterinary Clinic staff, but as JMQ have been in charge now for over a year, we are now bowing out and let them manage this page as well. It was a lovely time, and most of us are still present, just not on this page any more. Thank you all!

Slainte, Auf Wiedersehen Bye, bye, bye, bye bye.
