Dick has lots of excuses.

He forgot. He was planning to, but she suddenly got pregnant.
If Dick had only sterilised his dog in time, he wouldn't have just sentenced eight puppies to a life of uncertainty and suffering.

Bagus, however, made the responsible choice.
He knows that thousands of animals are dumped around Bali every year, and he wants to be part of the solution, not the problem.

Good on you, Bagus!

Don't be a Dick 👎 Be Bagus 👍

MOKA ADOPTED 🤎

Caged and chained, this little girl had no way to escape and no access to the medical care she needed. She was stuck until someone chose to act.

Within days, Moka was rescued and moved into a foster home where she could finally rest, heal and feel safe.

That foster home was meant to be temporary.

Instead, it became her forever home.

This is the part people don’t always see. Rescue gets them out, but adoption is what truly changes their life.

And in Bali, where thousands of animals are abandoned, free roaming, confined or living in neglect, choosing to adopt instead of buy matters more than ever.

Moka is safe because someone stepped up.

HE LOOKED LIKE A WOLF… NOW LOOK AT HIM 🌟
Cruise took us on one hell of a rescue journey. About 2 hours, back and forth across Ubud, until he was finally saved.

He spent only a few days in the clinic until Mila () saw his story and wanted to foster him - hairless, malnourished and scared. It was the best start to his recovery he could ask for!

Fast forward, and Jethro is now the big bro to our rescue girl, Ella (see the next reel).

What do you think of his transformation?

COOPER ADOPTED 🖤
This little man took a while to find his perfect match.

Small in size, huge in personality, Cooper was rescued from the street and came into our care, where he was vaccinated, sterilised and ready for a fresh start. Then he waited. And waited.

Black dogs are often overlooked in shelters, despite being just as loving, loyal and brilliant as any other dog. Cooper didn’t let that stop him.

With plenty of charm and a face impossible to ignore, he eventually won over his human and stepped into the life he deserved.

From the street to the beach, Cooper is now doing life exactly right, calm, loved and safe.

Adoption changes everything.

STOP OVER-EXERCISING YOUR DOG. START USING THEIR NOSE. 👃
We use snuffle balls every day at The Healing Centre.
Not as a toy. As a tool.

Most dogs we take in are wired. Overstimulated. Unable to settle.

More walks don’t fix that. More structure does. Sniffing switches their brain into a calmer state.

It slows them down, gives them a job, and builds confidence without pressure.
10 to 15 minutes of proper sniffing work can settle a dog faster than a long walk.

We see it daily with dogs coming out of cages, neglect, and stress.

If you live in Bali, you can buy a snuffle ball from Central Vet Canggu, with profits supporting our rescue work.

TOGETHER, WE CAN SAVE THEM ALL!

Thank you to S&P Global Foundation for their support in making these snuffle balls, and helping to fund animals in need in Bali. 🫶

GLINDA ADOPTED 💚

Left to survive on the street at less than two months old, Glinda and Elphaba only had each other. In their short lives, they knew hunger, uncertainty and hardship far too early.

Both girls were rescued, but heartbreak followed when Elphaba passed away from a pre-existing illness.

Glinda carried on.

She spent time in foster care across loving homes where she was nurtured, protected and slowly brought back to full health. She came to adoption events, charmed everyone she met, and quietly won over the people who would become her family.

Her adoption trial was a success, and today she has what every dog deserves: safety, love, and a big sister watching over her.

Not every story starts well, but some still end beautifully.

If you’ve ever thought about helping, foster or adopt. It’s how we save more lives.
