The story Hero the Beagle.
He was a naughty, sniffing addict, wall marking champion.
Although he was quite a handful during he stay over or grooming, he was a very friendly and sweet guest.
Hero entered our place the first time back in 2017. With a note from his family that Hero had a liver issue where it could be triggered when he was stressed or restless. Since then he became our regular guest for Grooming and Boarding.
Hero was never really interested interacting with other dogs, unless they were fellow beagle.
Taking care of Hero was quite a handful, but fun. He loved food or the smell of it! Any person approached him with a slight smell of food in their hands will make Hero started to go into Beagle sniffing mode, which could last for 10-15 minutes non stop sniffing.
One drama that we had with Hero was at one time Hero suddenly had a Urinary Tract Infection or UTI on the day he arrived for boarding, and there was no Vet available at that period of time. Even tough he was in slight pain and lethargic , he was very cooperative when we required him to drink lots of water and peed regularly. The UTI gone in 3 days, and he was back to his regular behaviour.
None of the staffs, and his family expected that Hero will be gone this soon. On the evening of 19.11.2019, he went "Home".
Rest in Peace, Hero.
You will be missed.
