Zöldmáli Wirehaired Vizsla Kennel

17/10/2026

Our soon to be mother HCH Zöldmáli-Hunter Rizling won CAC, resCACIB on the Komárom Dog Show on Sunday. She was only entered for 1 day and this is her last show before her maternal duties kick in early December. Sára again made an amazing job in handling her.

🇭🇺🏆❤️ WE MADE IT HAPPEN! TEAM WIREHAIRED VIZSLA HUNGARY WINS BOTH THE DERBY AND THE OPEN AT THE 27TH MAGYAR VIZSLA EUROPEAN CUP! ❤️🏆🇭🇺
Today brought us emotions that are difficult to put into words.
❤️ PILLA — CACT, CACIT, Best Wirehaired Vizsla! ❤️
Our incredible Pilla Du Domaine Saint Hubert won her battery with CACT, earning her place in the barrage against three other dogs, and than🏆 PILLA WAS AWARDED CACIT — THE OVERALL WINNER OF THE DAY! 🏆
The highest individual title awarded during this competition!
This is the second time Pilla has won CACIT on the European Cup, following her victory in 2022. And in 2024 it was her daughter, Zoldmali Aqua.
I honestly couldn’t hold back my tears. ❤️ To experience this is something truly special. (Pilla is also a daughter of Zoldmali Extreme and Love Me Please Du Domaine Saint Hubert).
Our young Zöldmáli-Hunter Zsálya, just 2 y.o., also had a wonderful day!
🥉 3rd place in her battery — Very Good
🏆 3rd place overall in the Derby!

Field trials are never just about talent and preparation. Luck, conditions, and the opportunities presented to each dog can make a huge difference.
This year’s batteries were not all equal. Some had better grounds, others more challenging terrain, and the number of birds varied considerably. Birds were also released in some batteries, creating different opportunities for the competing dogs.
Aqua had to search vertically through a redcurrant plantation and unfortunately didn’t get the opportunity to find birds.
Tiktok and Zseton both had good runs, but neither found birds. Tiktok was given a second chance, but unfortunately, there were no birds for her on that run either.
We are proud of all our dogs’ performance.
Thanks to our sponsor, Kos Fashion.
🇭🇺 GO HUNGARY! GO WIREHAIRED VIZSLAS!

Pilla, you are simply amazing. Thank you for everything you have given us. This victory means more than words can express. 🥹❤️🏆 And thanks again for Nathalie Parent for making this breeding happen and letting me have Pilla. (Pilla is also a daughter of Zoldmali Extreme and Love Me Please Du Domaine Saint Hubert).
Our young Zöldmáli-Hunter Zsálya, just two years old, also had a wonderful day!
🥉 3rd place in her battery — Very Good🏆 3rd place overall in the Derby!
For such a young dog, competing at this level at a European Cup is already a fantastic achievement. We are incredibly proud of her performance, her development, and the future that lies ahead of her.

That's field trialing. Sometimes everything comes together; sometimes, despite a good performance, the opportunities simply aren't there.

🇵🇱❤️ 27TH MAGYAR VIZSLA EUROPEAN CUP – DAY 2 ❤️🇵🇱✨ Another day of proud moments for the Zöldmáli family! ✨
Day 2 in Koszelówka, Poland, brought the Derby competition for the young dogs, while the adult dogs faced the water retrieve and the conformation show.
And once again, the Wirehaired Vizslas TEAM of Hungary made their presence felt! 🐾🏆
🌿 DERBY – TWO GROUP SECOND PLACES!
Our young stars stepped into the field, and we couldn't be prouder of them!
🥈 Zöldmáli-Hunter Zsálya – 2nd place in her group, Very Good.
🥈 Zöldmáli Kavics – 2nd place in his group, Good.
Zsálya delivered a lovely performance, earning a Very Good evaluation.
Kavics's day turned into quite an adventure! He started with a great run and a point on partridge. However, after his run, we discovered that we had accidentally gone to the wrong battery! Kavics was dog no. 7 in the 3rd battery, while Zseton was dog no. 8 in the 1st battery, and we had mixed up the locations. 🙈
Unfortunately, this meant Kavics's first run had to be annulled, and he had to run again shortly afterwards in the correct battery. Not exactly the ideal preparation for a young dog, but these things happen in the heat of competition!
In his official run, Kavics pointed a covey of partridges that started running before taking flight. The temptation proved too much, and he broke on the flush — but than stopped on command.
The Polish judge specifically praised Kavics's excellent run, explaining that the break on the flush was the reason for his final Good evaluation. Although we had expected a different interpretation of this situation in the Derby, we were very pleased with Kavics's overall work. His performance showed the quality and potential we know he has!
And there is another special connection worth mentioning: the winner of Zsálya's Derby group was also a Wirehaired Vizsla, Arno ze Sefranickeho hope, representing Slovakia — and he is a grandson of our Zöldmáli Extreme, and Anouk! ❤️🧬

Unfortunately, Zseton didn't have much luck in the field today, but there is still one more day to go.

🏆 CONFORMATION SHOW
All our dogs received Excellent evaluations, and we have some wonderful results to celebrate!
🥇 Zöldmáli Báró – Best Male & BOB! 🇨🇿 (son of Extreme and Unicum)🥈 Zöldmáli-Hunter Zseton – 2nd Best Male! 🇭🇺 (son of Extreme and Irma, grandson of Unicum)
And what makes these results even more special?
🥇 Zöldmáli-Hunter Tiktok Best Female

🔥 TOMORROW: THE FINAL DAY!
The adult dogs return to the field for the second Field Trial run. We are looking forward to another day of exciting competition and cheering on the Hungarian Wirehaired team!
Thank you to everyone following our journey and supporting our dogs.

🇵🇱🏆 DAY 1 — 27th MAGYAR VIZSLA EUROPEAN CUP 🏆🇵🇱
What a start for the Wirehaired Vizslas at the 27th Magyar Vizsla European Cup!
Out of the 6 batteries on the first day, 3 were won by Wirehaired Vizslas — and there is a very special connection between all three winners. ❤️
🥇 Zöldmáli-Hunter Zseton 🇭🇺Excellent 1 + CACT
🥇 Hancza z Talchejow 🇵🇱Excellent 1
🥇 Zöldmáli Irka-Firka 🇬🇧Excellent 1
And the connection? 🧬❤️
Our legendary Zöldmáli Extreme is a very proud father and grandfather today! ❤️
Zseton and Hancza z Talchejow are both direct offspring of Extreme — Zseton his son and Hancza his daughter — while Irka-Firka is his grandson.
Seeing his offspring and grandson winning 3 out of 6 batteries at a European Cup is an incredibly proud moment for us and a wonderful testament to the outstanding working qualities and consistency behind these bloodlines.
Extreme may not be running himself today, but his genes are certainly making their presence felt in Poland! 🧬🔥
Huge congratulations to all three dogs and their handlers! 👏🏆
And this is only Day 1… 🔥
🇭🇺 Go Zseton! Go Hungarian team!❤️ Keep fighting, Wirehaired Vizslas!

Pups expected early December

The partridge hunting season of 2026 has officially opened. We had a beautiful 1st hunting day, pretty warm but worked our dogs in rotation so everyone could have fun and didn’t get too exhausted. Egres and Puma were first timers and were really impressive for their 7 months of age. We can’t wait for the next hunting day, but before that, we are off to Poland to the Field Trial European Cup!

Come book a partridge hunting day with us, if you want to experience first class dog work and a fun day outdoors (and of you are a hunter)
