Another day sit spent with Rolo & Ralph 🐶🐶 These two bring SO much fun energy! They have me entertained for hours ~ doing tricks for treats, bossing each other around, getting involved in a little mischief and generally making me laugh 😂❤️

But as much as I love keeping them engaged, I’m a big believer that rest is just as important as play. Dogs need downtime to process all the excitement and stimulation of their day. Quality rest supports recovery, helps regulate arousal and is an important part of their overall health and wellbeing.

So alongside games, training and enrichment, we make sure there’s plenty of time to switch off too. After a good play session, we bring energy levels back down with calming enrichment ~ treat finding, kongs, lickiMats that encourage them to settle and decompress 🧡

For me, a happy dog isn’t one who is entertained every minute of the day. It’s a dog who gets the right balance of engagement, enrichment, calm and quality rest. 🐾

Rolo & Ralph definitely keep me on my toes… but they also know how to enjoy a good snooze 😂

Do you have a busy week coming up, where you are needing to be out all day? A partner who is away and you need extra help for a week?

I offer ad-hoc bookings (where availability allows) for drop-ins visits. These visits are not only practical, letting them out for the toilet and providing fresh water or meals ~ but they provide a company, cuddles and a playful break in their day, taking the pressure off yourself having to rush back to them.
