The sweetest most loving and genuine mare. Meet MayQueen, 13hh stocky 16yr old piebald cob mare. I honestly cannot say a bad word about this super pony. She is the most amazing hack, rides sweetly in the arena and just keeps on giving. These ponies are hard to find ❤️

Portmore Sparrow🤎

2019 13.2hh New Forest bay gelding
Brookshill Brumby x Portmore Little Bird

Genuine young pony with the potential to excel as a quality all-rounder. Sparrow is a lovely, correct stamp of the breed and has been produced slowly with his future in mind. An ideal mother/daughter share as he takes up the leg well for his height (i’m 5’7 and ride him absolutely fine).

Straightforward ride with 3 balanced paces, nicely off the leg and good basic flatwork. Currently jumping around 70cm with scope to go on, showing a willing attitude towards his work. He would be suited to a variety of disciplines including pony club, showjumping, dressage, showing. He has also previously been used in a riding school. We have hacked him out a few times both alone and in company where he proved to be genuine although we haven’t done lots of this. He would suit a home wanting to produce him further and put their stamp on him.

Easy to do on the ground, good to do in all ways and would stand all day to be groomed. Sparrow has a sweet temperament and is a pleasure to have on the yard.

Up to date with vaccinations, dentist, worming, farrier and physio. Plenty of videos upon request.

As Sparrow is still a young horse with low mileage for his age, no novices please as he is still green.

Another late one at the yard 🌅🐴

With temperatures being so high during the day, the horses’ comfort always comes first, so we’re waiting until the cooler evening hours to get them worked. It makes for a long day, but happy, comfortable horses are always worth it. 💙

Meet Moonie! Full up 12.2hh 15yr old over height registered Welsh section A grey gelding. Moonie is such a sweet chap. He’s been in a riding school for 8yrs where he’s been a real asset but it’s now time to find Moonie the most amazing new pasture.
During his time in the riding school, he has taught so many children the ropes and has always been honest, safe and genuine and a real favourite. He has also participated in different activities including hunting, pony club type things, hacking etc.
Moonie now needs his own little person to love and cherish him and in return, he will be an amazing friend and teacher…. ❤️

⛔️IMPORTANT READ!⛔️

🌡️ Heat stroke in horses is a serious condition and can happen much quicker than people realise. Even with sensible management, plenty of water, shade, and appropriate cooling down after exercise, horses can still become overheated. Knowing the signs and acting quickly can make all the difference.

Despite appropriate cooling down intervention, we still managed to have a horse that showed symptoms of heat stroke, with a temperature of 39.7°C and rapid respiratory rates, without having any exercise! It was a worrying situation, but with the appropriate measures, advice from the vets, and a lot of hard work, we managed to get his temperature back down to 37.9°C—and, most importantly, back to being a much happier horse. 💙😊 This was all done as well as thoroughly cooling down a yard of nearly 30 horses between 2 of us despite over heating ourselves in 35 degree heat!!

This is a reminder to everyone to keep a close eye on your horses during the warm weather. Don’t ignore the signs, take temperatures if you’re concerned, and never hesitate to contact your vet if something doesn’t seem right.

A huge thank you to the vets for their advice and support. We’re very relieved to see this handsome boy feeling so much brighter. 🐴💦☀️

QUESTION 🙋🏻‍♀️

Yesterday I had 15 horses vaccinated with their annual boosters for flu/flu tetanus.
Today I have 10 of the 15 horses with high temperatures (above 38.5 degrees) and generally feeling pretty rubbish.
It’s not the first time I’ve seen flu vaccine reactions, had them before over the years with a temp and sore around the vaccination site/stiff neck but 10 out 15 horses, that’s madness!
Has anyone else experienced anything like this before but more so with larger number of horses?
Spoken with my vets and the vaccine company will be contacted but just seems really odd 🤔

Below is the original advert I had for my precious Tums. She was sold to amazing lady but sadly circumstances change and Tums has been back with me a while now but sadly my position still remains the same due to my own circumstances 😔 so here she is again….

I have written this, deleted it, closed the page, written it, deleted it and so on….
This is extremely difficult, but the time has come to find a forever and happy ever after for my beautiful girl Autumn AKA Tums, 14.3hh/15hh rising 15yr old registered PBA bay roan mare.
Tums has been the most amazing girl. She is the sweetest most genuine mare with a heart of gold and so easy to have around. She has bred me 2 beautiful foals and is the most amazing mother and her temperament is very much passed on to her babies.
Tums is a super mover and works well on the flat. She has also successfully competed dressage with us aswell as a lot of hacking and has done and been used in riding lessons. Tums does pole work but isn’t always a massive fan of jumping! She doesn’t need to be ridden every day and she is no different after a few days or weeks off!
This is very difficult for me and homes will be vetted! She is extremely special and deserves that special someone 💖
