Sunshine, Community, and a Veterinary Practice Ready for Its Next Owner — Saskatoon, Canada

What if your next move combined practice ownership with a better quality of life, a supportive community, and the excitement of building on the foundations of a much-loved veterinary clinic?

After 30 years of caring for pets and building trusted relationships within the community, the current owner is preparing for retirement, creating an exciting opening for someone new to step in and take this thriving clinic to its next level.

They are looking for offers around $700k.

Currently operating at the equivalent of 1.5 veterinarians, the clinic is actively limiting new clients to just 15 per month, while turning away approximately the same number due to demand.

A nearby veterinary clinic has recently closed, leaving many local pet owners searching for a new trusted practice. There is also additional growth opportunity as the building next door is currently up for lease, formerly occupied by a pharmacy and doctor’s office, offering exciting expansion possibilities for the future owner.

One of Canada’s sunniest cities, Saskatoon perfectly blends vibrant city living with easy access to nature and outdoor adventure.

Whether you are an ambitious veterinarian looking for ownership, a family seeking a better lifestyle, or a group wanting to expand into a growing market, this opportunity offers the perfect mix of stability, heart, and future potential.

So, what’s next?
Please send your CV to [email protected]. It doesn’t matter if it’s not up to date, we will come back to you.

Senior Dairy Veterinarian
Great Farmers. Great Team. Great Lifestyle.
Ashburton, New Zealand

Our client is looking for an experienced Dairy Veterinarian to lead their large animal team as they move into an exciting new chapter.

They’re a team of seven veterinarians, supported by four fantastic large animal technicians who keep everything moving during the busy seasons.

Their clients range from large progressive dairy farms to sheep, beef, deer on high-country stations, so no two weeks are ever quite the same.

Being part of the Farmfirst & Petfirst community means you’ll also have the backing of a New Zealand-owned veterinary group that invests heavily in technology, education and innovation. From AI-assisted clinical notes to their own Animal Health Planning software, they’re always looking for ways to spend less time on paperwork and more time helping farmers.

They believe work should be somewhere you can enjoy yourself, grow your skills and make a genuine difference, for your clients, your colleagues and yourself.

What’s in it for you
$150,000-$180,000 salary plus 3.5% KiwiSaver.
$10,000 sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation support.
Profit share and on-call remuneration.
Company vehicle.
Four weeks annual leave, birthday leave and long service leave.
Gym membership and season ski pass for your first year.
A supportive team that likes working together (and having a laugh while they do it)

Why Ashburton?
People often move here for the job and end up staying for the lifestyle.
One weekend you can be skiing. The next you're fishing, hiking in the back country or heading into Christchurch for dinner before being home the same evening.
The commute is measured in minutes, and houses are still affordable. The coffee's good. The farming community is welcoming, and veterinarians are genuinely respected for the work they do.

So, what’s next?
Please send your CV to [email protected]. It doesn’t matter if it’s not up to date, we will come back to you.

Mixed Vet Wanted.
New Plymouth. New Zealand. Starting $100k - $140k

Our client is looking for a mixed animal veterinarian with at least two years' experience who wants more than just another job. They want someone who enjoys great medicine and values teamwork.

They’re based in beautiful Taranaki, where the lifestyle is every bit as good as the scenery. One minute you're treating dairy cows, the next you're walking the Coastal Walkway with a coffee in hand and Mount Taranaki in the background.

Base salary from around $100,000+ NZD, with higher packages for experienced vets.
Overtime paid as additional hours or time off in lieu.
Flexible options including a 4-day week or 9-day fortnight.
Mixed animal caseload focused on dairy farms, lifestyle blocks and companion animals.
Shared after-hours rota with support from another vet. No being left stranded.
Health insurance, income protection, professional memberships and your birthday off.
CPD support, training opportunities and genuine career development.
Temporary accommodation may be available, just a short walk from the clinic and the beach.

You're confident with mixed practice, enjoy building relationships with clients, and understand that veterinary medicine is a team sport. You communicate well, enjoy a laugh when the opportunity arises, and care about delivering excellent outcomes for animals and their owners.

Surf before work. Hike after work. Explore native bush, rivers, beaches, and mountain trails on your days off. New Plymouth offers the perfect balance of professional opportunity and personal freedom, with all the amenities you need and none of the big-city chaos.

So, what’s next?
Please send your CV to [email protected]. It doesn’t matter if it’s not up to date, we will come back to you.

Production Animal Veterinarian
Bay of Plenty, New Zealand $110,000-$150,000 DOE

Our client is privately owned and proudly independent, they’ve spent years building a culture that's hard to describe but easy to feel. It's why the team stays and it’s why their clients trust them. They’re not interested in becoming the biggest clinic, they would rather be the clinic people never want to leave.

Their large animal and small animal teams work independently, each doing what they do best, supported by an incredible reception team at the heart of the clinic. Around 35 of them work from one purpose-built location, creating a close-knit environment where everyone knows each other, ideas are welcomed, and nobody gets lost in the crowd. They don't micromanage. They trust good people to do great work.

They are looking for an experienced Production Animal Veterinarian (ideally two years or more) to join their friendly large animal team.

What you'll enjoy:
NZ $110,000-$150,000 depending on experience
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
One weeknight on-call each week
Approximately one weekend in five
Paid birthday off
Staff discounts
VCNZ and NZVA fees paid
Genuine future partnership opportunities for the right person

Life in the Bay of Plenty
When work finishes, life really begins.
Mount Maunganui, Papamoa and Tauranga are all within easy reach, offering incredible beaches, surfing, fishing, mountain biking, cafés, restaurants and endless outdoor adventures.

Te Puke itself is known as the kiwifruit capital of the world, a thriving, welcoming town where community still means something. They sponsor local events, support schools, conservation projects and farming groups, and you'll quickly find yourself becoming part of the community rather than simply working in it.

So, what’s next?
Please send your CV to [email protected]. It doesn’t matter if it’s not up to date, we will come back to you.
