Furrytails Dog Grooming York

12/10/2026

I can’t quite believe I’m saying this but later this week Furrytails Dog Grooming turns 10 years old! 🎈

There will be plenty of posts this week to celebrate and to start us off here’s a look at some of the recent autumn pampers I’ve done. Some of these Furrytails have been with me from the very beginning as well as some newbies! 😍

Pixie came for her first visit on Friday which was also her first ever groom. Her mum was a bit worried because Pixie can be unsure of dryer and hoover noises at home so she wasn’t sure how she’d react. By taking it slow and giving Pixie lots of reassurance and praise she did absolutely amazing and was such a sweetheart. I was so proud of her and found it so rewarding seeing her confidence grow throughout her pamper. As you can see below she was loving giving me her paws during the pamper!

Well done Pixie and I’ll see you again soon 🥰

I just love this time of year with the beautiful autumn colours and so does my Isla! I took her and Digby for a walk on my break yesterday and she somehow managed to find herself a branch full of leaves to carry round. Digby wasn’t quite as impressed! 😂 🍁 🍂 🍃

Does anyone else’s dog love playing in the leaves?!

I’m now back at work after a wonderful trip to Dubrovnik followed by an amazing holiday in Northumberland with my fellow Dog Haven girls. We had the best time and it’s safe to say my little Digby Nigel is absolutely shattered now 😂 🫶

I will get back to all your messages as soon as I can but it might take a couple of days because I’m also back grooming the doggos as well!

See you all soon 🥰

There is something exciting to tell you! All of us at The Dog Haven Grooming Studio are hosting our first ever stall at the very first York Dog Show on Sunday 20th September. Please help spread the word!

Unfortunately I won’t be there in person as I’m away at the same time 😔 but please pop along and say hi to Katy, Geo & Imogen- they’d be so happy to see you!

Now we’re pretty much sorted for the show I will be catching up on photos of your Furrytails so look out for those this week to 🥰

Sometimes it really does help having your friend there! Little Bobby on the left came for his first ever pamper session today and he did absolutely amazing. He can be quite nervous especially in new scenarios but he took it all in his stride and with the support from big sister Jessica he absolutely smashed it! Well done Bobby and well done Jess for being a fabulous role model and showing him how it’s done!

An early start and an early finish was required today! Thanks so much to everyone for your cooperation with moving to earlier slots!

We had to make some adjustments today and the final Furrytails of the day just had a dry cut to limit the time in the studio for them. They all did amazingly well and it was lovely to see them all and of course their human companions to! 🥰

A special shout out to Charlie who turns 12 today so Happy Birthday Charlie 💙
