🌈🌈Sad post🌈🌈

Last night we had a male entire ginger cat brought into us who was sadly dead on arrival. He had no microchip or collar and was found on Marston Road, Tockwith.
If you think this may be your pet, please contact the surgery on 01904 643997.

Thank you

reluctance to jump into the car are often aligned with getting older, but can sometimes indicate underlying health concerns.

🤎🤎Meet Mags🤎🤎

Lovely Maggie came into the vets today for her 6 monthly check! She was such a good girl and couldn't wait for the treats!
Her 6 month health check is part of our health plan, Nurse Millie examined the following:
Eating/Drinking habits
Body condition score - of which she was 5/9 in the ideal category, though her mum did think she may get told she was on the porky side, but thanks to her mum actively reducing her food intake she is actually where she needs to be!
Eyes checked
Ears checked
Mouth checked: Her teeth were actually in good condition, but like any dog parent her mum found it hard (if not impossible) to brush her teeth, so we advised her of alternative products to help with this.
Body to check for lumps/bumps lumps/bumps, palpation of her abdomen, and heart rate checked to which all was normal.
Parasite control was dispensed and reminded when her vaccine was due.

Well done Maggie, we look forward to seeing you again soon (but not too soon!)🥰

Meet handsome boy Rafa.

Rafa decided to help himself to a slice of gammon and accidently ate the whole thick plastic wrapping too!
His owner thought fast and called us for advise.
We induced emesis (vomiting) to ensure the wrapping was brought up safely, and not risk causing an intestinal blockage.
Rafa was such a good boy and went home promptly after with his mum 🐶

Arthritis is a progressive condition and although it is not curable, there are several ways to improve your pet’s comfort and help them to lead a full and active life.

Symptoms such as stiffness, limping, struggling to jump and reluctance to walk can indicate underlying osteoarthritis – a painful condition caused by degeneration and inflammation of the joints.

We are on hand to help, please reach out and book today

We’d be lost without them 💖

Our pets can bring comfort, encourage us to get outside, help us stick to a routine, and remind us to slow down and enjoy the present.

Today, we’re celebrating all the little ways our furry friends can make life a little brighter and the positive impact they can have on our wellbeing.
