The day started with Kes and Jethro. Both ponies are well.

A message from Herb and Ted's guardian asking if I could help out meant my first dog walk of the day was with the 'oodle pair. And what a nice walk it was. Romeo was next , dodging the showers whilst playing with his ball.

A re-arranged visit with Poppy. Instead of a walk Poppy's guardian asked if I could sit with her whilst she went out. Poppy has been ill and a worry to her guardian so of course I said yes.

I am looking after Kes and Jethro for the next few days. Kes is prone to laminitis so she needs careful management , her guardian has given me clear instructions on what to look for and what to do. In the hay barn a Wren has built a nest in a hay net. 😍 So cute.
Today's dogs were Romeo and Paisley. Poppy wasn't well and had a vet appointment. Get well soon Poppy.

This morning I visited Clive , Purdy and Hal for the second time before I look after them in a couple of weeks. They are all rescues and all have health issues , especially Clive. Hal is very special and has suffered a lot in the past and so new humans aren't to be trusted. It was lovely today because he was more interested in me and even hung around when his 'security blanket ' , the other two dogs , left. I am very happy to visit as much as is needed to make the animals that will be in my care more relaxed and to reassure their guardians they will be ok with me. I look forward to seeing them all again soon.
Also today I walked the very beautiful , looking amazing after her groom and haircut , Paisley. She is such a happy little dog. ❤️😍

A few additions to my family. Five ex-battery Hens who would have gone for dog food today if it weren't for the rescue. They all seem pretty healthy , I've had alot worse! 😔It will take a few days to settle in but already I can see that one of them picks on short tail , it will be interesting to see why this is. And , bonus, I have already had an 🥚.

Nala , 🤦😂❤️. Bertie ❤️ and Poppy ❤️. A beautiful dry day , I think we need to make the most of them.
