โ With the warm weather forecast we would like to remind you all to take extra care with your pets over the next few days!
๐ก We would advise, where possible, walking your dog during cooler periods of the day, and avoiding rigorous exercise during peak times. If you can't safely exercise your dog, missing a day won't hurt.
๐ Please also avoid leaving your pets in cars as the temperature inside vehicles can rise dramatically in a short amount of time!
๐ฑ For outdoor cats, we recommend using a pet-safe sunscream on exposed parts of skin, such as the tips of their ears and on their noses. This is especially important if your cat has white or light-coloured fur as they are more vulnerable to getting burnt. We recommend using an SPF 30 or higher for maximum coverage!
โ Please remember to take extra care if your pet suffers from an underlying health condition, or is an older or flat-faced breed, as these animals are unfortunately more susceptible to heatstroke.
