🚨CAT HANDED IN 🚨

This morning we have had a lovely Female Calico cat handed into us. She is mostly ginger and black with a white chest , white belly and white back legs. Her face is almost half and half ginger and white. She is very very friendly and is on the plump side.

She was found down Hallfarm Crescent in yateley. We are making a conscious effort to find her owners as that is the priority Right now , not rehoming her.
She is microchipped to the breeder and if no owner is found within 7 days she will be returning to the beeeder.

If you think this is your cat please email or call the practice on 01252873569 or [email protected]❤️

🩸 Blood tests don’t have to be scary! 🐶💚

Blood tests are a really useful tool for our vets and nurses, helping us understand what’s going on inside your pet and giving us a clearer picture of their overall health.

Your pet may need a blood test as part of a routine health check, before an anaesthetic, when they’re feeling unwell, or to monitor an ongoing condition or medication.

And don’t worry ….. our team are experts at keeping your pets calm and comfortable throughout! A little treat and lots of fuss can make the whole experience much easier. 🐾

A tiny blood sample can tell us a lot! 🩸✨

Meet Sprite! He is a gorgeous 3 month old Russian Blue kitten ⭐️😍

He came to us very poorly last week, when his owner noticed he was lethargic, vomiting and not wanting to eat.🥺

His temperature was 40.6!! 🔥(Far too high).

Jill recommended a blood test, to look for signs of an infection and found he was anaemic.

It was straight to the microscope for Jill, to examine a blood smear.
🩸❤️
Here, the red blood cells had inclusion bodies, which made us worried about an infection called Mycoplasma.

Sprite is now on a course of specific antibiotics to fight this and look how much better he is feeling!🥳

🐾💚 “Pets hate going to the vets…” — or do they?! 👀😂

There’s a bit of a stigma that every pet runs for the hills the second they see the vet… but the truth is, SO many of our patients absolutely love coming to see us! 🥹🐶🐱

From tail wags at reception, to demanding cuddles, to happily accepting treats from the team, we have plenty of patients who genuinely think the vets is just another place for fuss, snacks and attention! 🥰🦴💕

Of course, some pets do find vet visits a little scary — and that’s completely okay too. ❤️ We’ll always take things at their pace and do everything we can to make their visit as positive and stress-free as possible.

So let’s ditch the idea that “all pets hate the vets”… because our camera roll says otherwise! 📸🐾😂

When you leave your pet with us and they accidentally get treated better than you do… 😂🐾

Yuki’s day at the vets consisted of feline w**e 🍷, plenty of playtime, cuddles with the vets and approximately ZERO responsibilities. Honestly, we’re not sure he’ll want to go home! 😂

We know it can be worrying leaving your pets with us, which is why we make sure every patient gets all the love, fuss and TLC they deserve while they’re in our care. ❤️

Because here at Medivet Yateley, we don’t just care for your pets… we treat them like they’re our own. 🐾🤍
