My boy!
Never did I ever think he would jump into Moos paws and do Tri Dog ! Monty Moo smashed it a few times and even podiumed 2nd place.
Two years ago we did the duathlon (Dingo), was abit warm for him as its later on in the morning....I was adamant then, with time and perseverance we could get him in the water...as its earlier he wasn't a fan 😆.
I decided to enter Aquabike this year Swim-Bike , had an aim.
Saturday he went in well in the lake, panicked abit, but listened and I exited early so we gained 5 minute penalty. The bike was warm, we ran well the first 3k and he dropped abit, that's fine, im not pushing him. He still got in an overtake. And I was just made up we swam 🙌
Sunday, I was adamant we could do the whole swim. We were behind lovely Gemma Fronda and Wolfe, so he focused on them....he wanted to exit...but we pushed on and completed the whole lake swim 🥳🙌🥰 I was soooo proud, but also knackered 🤣🤣 My transition was shocking! Got my bloody bike wheel stuck over one of rhe stake out pins 🤦♀️ totally stuck! Thank you Tracy Annie for rescuing me...my hands were so cold. We set off on the bike! Dingo was on fire!!! It being colder he was a machine!!! Two overtakes and over a minute off our bike time!!!
We came 7th! Without our penalty we would have been 5th! But im winning anyway...we swam!!!
I didnt think he would swim. No training at home due to blue green algae everywhere!!! I managed a few wades in a lake local with
him....even the Friday morning before we left!
We have alot to work on. But now I know he can do it! We will be chipping away at that time!
