No walks today, thank you very much. ☀️🥵🐾

Just a little sniff in the shade for me… carried out by Dad, carried home by Dad. 😂

I provide the sniffing expertise. He provides the transport.

Seems like a perfectly sensible heatwave arrangement to me. 😎🐶

Heatwave? Forest walks only, apparently. 🌳🐾 Dad says it’s cooler under the trees… I’ll allow it.

Even better, Raffa actually did what he was told for once. Let’s not expect it to become a habit. 🤭

Shade, sniffs and a sensible pace. Not bad for a summer’s day… although I was still keeping an eye on everyone, obviously. 🫡🐶

Heatwave status… 🥵☀️

Dad says no walks.
Apparently it’s “too hot.”

So I’ve promoted the fan to my new best friend.

We’ll resume sniffing duties when the weather remembers how to behave. 😎🐾

That was a long day. 😴🐾

Started with a bit of shopping.
Stopped for lunch.
Then met up with Raffa…

Which, as we all know, is basically the canine equivalent of running a marathon. 🙄🐶

By the time we got in the car, I had absolutely nothing left in the tank.

Dad was still talking about the day.
I was already in recovery mode.

Somebody has to supervise all these activities, and apparently that somebody is me.

Home now. Dinner pending.
Nap successfully completed. 😌🐾

“Went to the farm today.

Saw a pig having the time of his life in the mud.

Everyone thought it was adorable.

If I do the same thing, apparently I ‘need a bath’.

Double standards. 🐷🐾😒”

What a hot week that was… ☀️🥵🐾

I started off insisting I was absolutely fine.

Five minutes later I was negotiating transport arrangements.

To be fair, this was at 8pm in the evening… it should have been nice and cool by then! 😅

Thankfully Dad Taxi was available for immediate collection. 🚕🐶

Air-conditioned? No.
Luxury seating? Also no.

But he carried me home and didn’t even complain (much).

Heatwave management: stay in the shade, take it slow, drink plenty of water… and keep a human on standby for emergency chauffeur duties. 😎🐾

“It’s hot out there… so today’s agenda is:

Shade ✔️
Slow walks ✔️
Maximum sniffing ✔️

No zoomies. No drama.
Just sensible summer supervising. 😎🐾☀️

Now somebody bring me cold water and snacks.”

“We’re home… and straight back to important business — scouting out new swim spots. 🐾💦

This is what family Sundays are made for.

Sniffing, exploring, supervising mum and dad… exhausting work really.

Now it’s home for dinner and a nap.
I’ve earned it. 😴”

“Mum and dad have been on holiday… so I’ve been staying at my second home with you all know who. 🐾

We’ve spent the week supervising the allotment, practising our sniffing techniques and definitely not stealing attention from the gardeners.

Raffa thinks he’s in charge out here…

I let him believe it. 🌱😏”
