We're hosting an exciting client evening on Teeth, Toes & Tummies where our team will be sharing practical advice and answering your questions on:

โœ… Hoof care, laminitis and balance topics
โœ… Digestive health
The evening will be interactive, educational and relaxed, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, meet members of the team, and chat with fellow horse owners.

๐Ÿชฑ Exciting News โ€“ Our New Worm Count Technology! ๐Ÿชฑ

Weโ€™re always looking for ways to improve the care we provide for your horses, so weโ€™re excited to introduce our brand new FEC (faecal egg count) machine!

This new technology allows us to analyse your horseโ€™s worm count quickly and accurately. Once our nurses prepare the sample, the system uses advanced AI to identify the type of parasites present and how severe the infection is.

โœจ What this means for you and your horse:
โ€ข Faster results
โ€ข More accurate diagnosis
โ€ข Targeted worming treatments
โ€ข Better overall care and wellbeing

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ When should you test?
We recommend carrying out FECs during the grazing period, ideally every 2โ€“3 months.

๐Ÿ’œAs part of our Healthy Horse Program, 4 FECs are included.

๐Ÿ“ฆ How to provide a sample:
* Collect a sample pot from reception (Our vets will also carry pots in their cars), with a QR code to scan and submit your detailsโ€”making it quick and easy for our nurses to process your horseโ€™s sample.
Or just:
โ€ข Hand it to the vet during a visit.
โ€ข Drop it off at reception.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธMeet the Team: Jordan Lane
Weโ€™re pleased to highlight Jordan, one of our dedicated Equine Veterinary Nurses who has been
getting stuck in with the team at this busy time of year and providing high standards of care on
yard.
Jordan has been part of the Oaklands team since 2020 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary
Nurse (RVN) in 2024. She is also a qualified Artificial Insemination Technician.
Jordan has a particular interest in radiology, assisting with lameness workups, and
reproduction work, and plays a key role in supporting both our vets and clients.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, her three horses, and her Labrador
Benji.
