Zeus the Maine C**n visited today for a de-shed and a few knots to be removed.
He was so affectionate and very chilled out but like any cat when they’ve had enough they will show signs of letting you know.
Hence why you have to work pretty quick with cats.
He’s only 12 months old and how stunning is he? 💙

Washing a dog supports healthy skin also.
Rinse and rinse until the shampoo is all out ! I use a shampoo with a built in conditioner and I also use a conditioning spray as this breed needs moisture to prevent breakage and knotting. 👌

So it’s been 6 weeks since Ringo has been groomed and he’s having his normal length that his owner likes and look how much growth there is.
It’s not until we actually dry them you can see the growth in between.😆
Clippers take length off but I also do scissor finish around the feet , legs etc after.

Cleaning the bottom of the pads out otherwise they would become knotty if left too long.
A dog’s back leg shouldn’t be lifted by the foot as this wouldn’t be stable for them so we should be supporting the knee and not lifting it above the hip.
Also taking into account the dog’s age, health problems and what they can and can’t do.
As you can see he’s still stable when I lift his leg.

This is what I use to dry his head (stand dryer) again it’s about getting that coat dry and straight otherwise we wouldn’t get an even finish and our tools would struggle to get through the coat at a longer length.
Believe it or not most dogs enjoy the warm air on their heads.
