De-shed for Elsa the Ragdoll 💖

I absolutely loved meeting Elsa she was so friendly and loved the attention.
She definitely needed a good de-shed as you can see by all the dead loose hair.
She did tell me off once as she wasn’t keen on her tail being combed through but after that she was my friend again 😆

Luna visited for some knotty areas shaved out and a de-shed of what was left.
When she arrived I could see she was a nervous cat and she was very reluctant to come out of her carrier.
On close inspection I could see she was very matted in a lot of areas which means her skin couldn’t breath along with Dandruff which are the white flakes on the picture.
Dandruff is scaling and flakes of dead skin resulting in a very dry skin that can cause itching.
This cat would have definitely benefited from a bath to remove all the dirt, dander, dandruff and dead hair which would be less likely to mat up after.
People don’t realise cats need grooming until they get to this stage when in fact they need grooming on a regular basis to remove their dead loose hair every 6/8 weeks.
I’m sure Luna will feel much better now. ❤️

Daisy & Honey visited today for their first Puppy intros 💖 and they were little 🌟🌟 They did go home a bit tired as they are still only young and still learning new things.
Their owner wanted to stay with them for the first time to see what we did which wasn’t a problem.

Stocking up on products, new scissors, new dryer, sharpening of blades & scissors etc all cost which is a part of running a business big or small.
What we charge you as a customer is far from what we take if we add all of the extra bills we have on top.
Things wear and naturally need replacing and without good equipment and high end products it makes it harder to do the job.
Sometimes we have to be honest.

I traveled to Warwickshire today with another groomer from Chester to a grooming event to shop🥴 and watch some talented groomers demonstrate how they achieve certain looks on dogs.
From breed standard to Asian fusion, creating shapes & styles with clippers & scissors which is a skill.
I didn’t get many pictures as I was a bit too busy. 😆

BLOD after her De-shed and a slight scissor tidy. ❤️
Deshedding is a process where we lift all the dead,loose undercoat that can’t be removed fully with just a brush.
BLOD visits every 8 weeks which keeps her skin & coat in good health along with less fur around the home to clean up. 😆

Hi everyone.
I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. 🥵
I have a cancellation for this Thursday at 2pm but also I’ve rescheduled my opening times a bit so I can start earlier due to this heat being extreme tomorrow. I may also be in touch with customers that have an appointment booked for the rest of the week.
I do have a portable air-con unit which is good and I will also be turning the heat down on my dryers which may result in your dogs being with me a bit longer unfortunately.
Safety must come first.
