🐾☀️ Some garden time for Winston and Noodle this week - Winston gave a couple of disappointed looks when I didnt get his harness out 😵‍💫 but was happy playing in the shade of his garden for a while and noodle did his own thing and took himself back inside to the cool tile floor. ☀️🐾

One perk of being a dog walker in a heatwave is lounging in the garden, feet up, dip in the hot tub, cocktail in hand… 🍹☀️
If only it were that simple! We’ve still had admin and some home visits to do… but have enjoyed a few days rest in the sun ☀️

Honestly, we’d much rather be out exploring with the dogs. But when temperatures soar, their wellbeing always comes first. No walk is worth the risk of overheating or harm.

As much as we miss our woodland wanders and field adventures, taking a step back during extreme heat is the responsible choice.
A few quieter days are nothing compared to keeping our furry friends safe and happy.

Fingers crossed for cooler weather soon so we can get back to what we love most!
Until then, stay cool and please think carefully before heading out with your dogs in the heat.☀️

Today we’re celebrating the Dog Father himself – the leader of the pack, the treat-giver-in-chief, and the man who keeps all tails wagging here at WonderPaws Walkies! 🐶💙

Steve, thank you for everything you do – from early morning walks to muddy adventures, and for making sure every pup in your care is safe, happy, and loved like one of your own.
Your dedication, patience, and passion don’t go unnoticed (even if the dogs think they’re in charge! 😉).

Walks look like they’ll be affected, simply if it’s too hot to safely walk/transport the pups we may have to shorten or even cancel walks. We will provide pop ins where required.

It’s the last thing we want to do as we have bills to pay and it’s our livelihood but the dog’s welfare comes first.

After surviving one of the wettest winter’s now here come extreme heatwaves we just can’t win!

🖤 Not often I get to have some 1:1 time with my mate Henry! But when I do we make the most of it! And for a reactive doggy he’s always excited to see me come to pick him up even if it has been a good few months 🖤
