🐾 In loving memory of Adelaide (Addie) ❤️🌈
It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we share the sad news that we’ve said goodbye to our beautiful Adelaide, affectionately known as Addie, at the age of 12. 💔
Addie and her little brother Otis joined our Weston’s Dog Walking family back in March 2024, and what a journey it’s been since then.
When we first met Addie, she made her feelings about other dogs VERY clear 😂😂 A little yap here, a little scream that could rival a hyena there… she certainly wasn’t afraid to let everyone know she was present!! 🤣
But beneath that big personality was the sweetest, kindest soul, and it didn’t take long for her to accept her second family here at Weston’s. Before we knew it, our little Addie had gone from the dog who had plenty to say about everyone else to becoming a bit of a mother hen to so many of our younger dogs and puppies on our group walks!! 🥹❤️ She showed them patience, tolerance and acceptance, and it was genuinely lovely to watch her grow into that role.
That same patience and acceptance shone through when her family welcomed little Bo🐶🐾 in October 2025. Although we’re pretty sure he kept her very much on her toes! 😂😂❤️
Addie was quirky, funny and completely her own character. We’ll never forget our first introduction to her, when her lovely owner Anwen explained that Addie absolutely did NOT like people wearing hats and wasn’t one for being held by just anyone.
The only problem? That information came after Owen had already walked into the property wearing his cap (as i’m sure everyone now knows is practically glued to his head) and somehow managed to pick her up without a single issue. 😂🤦♂️ Clearly, Addie had decided he was the chosen one!!
It’s these little stories, the funny quirks, the unexpected moments and the personalities that make each of our dogs so special. And Addie, you certainly left us with plenty of memories to smile about. ❤️
We won’t pretend that saying goodbye hasn’t shaken us. It really has. Both of us have been deeply affected by losing her, and it’s a reminder of just how much these wonderful dogs become part of our lives. They may come to us as clients, but they leave paw prints on our hearts as family. 🐾 The only piece of positivity we hold onto is that we decided to merge groups on our last walk with you and both got to give you a fuss (even if you were more interested in owens cuddles🙈)
Addie, thank you for letting us be part of your life, for trusting us, for making us laugh, and for showing us the softer side behind that very loud Boston Terrier personality. Weston’s Dog Walking won’t be quite the same without you, and you will be missed more than words can say. 💔🌈
Our thoughts and all our love are with Anwen and Addie’s whole family, including Otis and Bo, at this incredibly difficult time. We hope you can take some comfort in knowing just how loved Addie was and how many people she brought happiness to.
Run free, beautiful girl. No more worries, no more worries about those pesky dogs… just endless adventures, sunshine and all the treats/ cocktail sausages you could ever want. 🐾🌈❤️
