🐾 Just another day in the salon!
Two no-shows today, which is never ideal when the diary is already so busy.
Then this 😢the little chap decided nail day was definitely up for negotiation! He can be quite spicy when it comes to his feet and, because he can nip, he wears a muzzle for safety.
Today he really wasn’t comfortable having his nails done. While trying to manage the situation safely, he snagged his dewclaw in the muzzle unfortunately, and he needed to be checked over by the vets afterwards. These things can happen despite taking every precaution, and it’s never something we take lightly.
It’s a good reminder that there is so much more to grooming than making dogs look pretty. Challenging dogs, lots of cleaning up, accidents, keeping everyone safe and knowing when to stop are all part of the job.
Some days are straightforward, and some days certainly keep you on your toes! 🐾
Grooming isn’t always pretty — but it’s always about doing what’s safest for the dog. ❤️
