🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE – FOOTPATH TEMPORARILY CLOSED DUE TO STRANGLES OUTBREAK 🚨
Following a confirmed positive case of Strangles at our yard, we have taken precautionary measures and put up signs requesting that the footpath through our land is not used until further notice.
We kindly ask ALL members of the public, dog walkers and anyone who would normally use this footpath to please respect the signs and avoid using this route while we try to prevent any further spread.
Strangles is a highly contagious bacterial infection affecting horses. It can spread through direct contact, as well as indirectly via contaminated clothing, footwear, equipment and other surfaces.
We are doing everything we can to protect our horses and prevent this awful infection from spreading to other horses in the area.
⚠️ Please do not ignore the signs or enter the affected area. Even if you are not coming into direct contact with the horses, there is still a risk of carrying the infection between areas.
We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience, but the health and welfare of the horses must come first.
❤️ We would really appreciate everyone’s understanding, cooperation and respect during this difficult time.
Please help us keep all horses in the local area safe.
Thank you for your support, and please feel free to share this post to help spread awareness. 🐴❤️
