With the warm weather here, it’s important to remember that our dogs can struggle in the heat just as much as we do. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority.

Here are a few simple ways to help keep your dog cool:
🐾 Walk during the cooler parts of the day – early mornings or later evenings.
🐾 Always carry fresh water and offer regular drink breaks.
🐾 Check the pavement with the back of your hand – if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws.
🐾 Provide plenty of shade and avoid direct sunlight.
🐾 Don’t leave your dog in a parked car
🐾 Watch for signs of heatstroke, such as excessive panting, drooling or collapse.

Stay safe, stay cool and remember that dogs can miss a walk if it’s not safe for them to go out 🐶☀️

☀️ HOT WEATHER NOTICE ☀️

With the temperatures set to rise next week, the safety and wellbeing of all the dogs in my care is my top priority 🐶💛

To keep everyone safe during the hotter weather, I may need to:
• Shorten walk times where necessary
• Choose shaded routes and cooler areas
• Include extra water breaks and rest time
• Swap walks to a check-in

All dogs will have access to water in the van and on walk, fans will be in the van on each cage and cool mats will be in all cages

Thank you for your understanding — I’d always rather be extra cautious when it comes to your dogs’ health and safety. Please contact me if you have any concerns 🐾❤️
