I was contacted by a local vets we work with the other week saying this nine year old mum and her daughter had been handed into another branch.

If no rescue space can be given the mum almost definitely was going to be put to sleep because she had severe life threatening case of Pyrometera if no operated on asap she would die.

They needed a green light that a space was available to save her and her daughter as she also would be at risk of being PTS having no space or funds behind both of them.

I obviously said Yes knowing we had no offer's for spaces but if said no they die.

The operation was successful, but i had to purposely delay collecting them until a rescue space had been secured 😞.

They are now both now secure with another rescue.

Lot people think we have been quiet, that is never the case.

Unfortunately we are not able to take on new cases because ZERO response to multiple cries for help for Foster's and an all time low bank balance, so we simply can't take cases because we will not be able to pay our vets..

One of our vets is insisting on payment upfront despite reducing our bill to next to nothing, this is meaning we are having to turn cases away as we simply don't have the funds.

Everyone will remember the shocking storm the other week. We received a frantic message that a member of the public had found a young mother and six new born kittens behind their shed.

It was a matter of hours before the storm, we had no where for them to go. I knew i was more than capable of getting them, but where do we put them??!

I knew a frightened young mum shouldn't be put in tjis situation, she wouldn't be able to keep them safe or dry.

We had no other choice to get her abd her six new born babies.

Act now and temp set them up to save them.

It was a text book case i managed to catch them and we are lucky another rescue said to give them a couple of days for them to sort something out.

I don't think people realise without foster homes we simply grind to a hault.

It is not we don't want to help if no spaces available or funds for vets our hands are tied.

We couldn't leave this frightened mum out in that storn, she never asked not to be not neutered and be put in this situation!!

We are pleased to announce mum and kittens are thriving.

We desperately desperately need your help. We're struggling massively. Donations have dwindled, both financial and food etc and we also have no interest from people wanting to foster.

We're unable to help cats and kittens that desperately need it and at this rate we're not going to be able to continue to rescue.

** PLEASE TRY TO KEEP YOUR CATS COOL! **

We still desperately need your help. The lack of fosterers means we are going through our supplies faster than ever, and with more kittens being born each day we need to be able to support them. We also have thousands in unpaid vet bills and cats and kittens that desperately need seeing by a vet.

We lost 2 little ones this week, from the same litter, which Lisa and I are both struggling with. Both had very little chance of surviving but the hand feeds every half an hour with kitten formula and the sugar water, also honey, and antibiotics, the decongestion medication, the constant heat sources, the eye ointment and the abundance of love helped them to survive longer than anyone expected. We wanted these kittens to experience true love for as long as they possibly could, and they passed away peacefully, absolutely adored.
