The time has come🎄

I am now opening my diary for Christmas grooms.
It is only 14 weeks until Christmas, so you may want to work out how to do it, whether it’s 6 and 6 weeks, or 7 and 7 etc.

Please send me some dates and times over that work best for you, and I will allocate you a time.
Instead of me sending out times i have available and having to wait for a reply before I can send others the same times, this works easier and allows everyone to get a time that works for them.

My last working day is 23rd, please don’t leave it until last minute to ask what I have left, as I will already be doing ridiculous hours and can’t make anymore room.

In regard to my customers from Friday for the rest of the month‼️

Sorry for the terrible drawings, but my road is FINALLY being resurfaced on friday. I am not sure yet whether the whole road will be shut or just the part I have highlighted in black. If it just that part, then you can go past the crematorium and around
(following the orange lines)
If the whole road is being shut, then please follow the blue lines into the orange. This is only about 2 minutes longer, but please allow extra time in case you are unsure where you are going.

☀️🐾 HEATWAVE GROOMING: PUTTING DOG WELFARE FIRST 🐾☀️

As temperatures rise across the UK, dog groomers have an important responsibility to adapt our working practices to keep dogs safe and comfortable during their sessions.

Some of the ways responsible groomers can help during a heatwave include:

🐶 Opening earlier and finishing earlier to avoid the hottest part of the day, we all know how hot dog grooming salons can get (especially when the hairdryers are on)

🐶 Booking elderly dogs, puppies, brachycephalic breeds and dogs with health conditions into the first appointments of the day when salon and outside temperatures are coolest.

🐶 Keeping salons cool with air conditioning, fans and good ventilation where possible.

🐶 Ensuring dogs have constant access to fresh cool drinking water and plenty of comfort breaks.

🐶 Monitoring every dog closely for signs of heat stress, no matter how routine the groom may seem.

🐶 Reducing drying times where possible and avoiding prolonged exposure to warm air. During extreme weather, a dog may leave with a slightly less-than-perfect finish — and that's absolutely okay.

🐶 Being prepared to alter or shorten a groom if a dog's welfare could be compromised by continuing.

🐶 Also don't forget to look after yourself, staying hydrated, investing in a neck fan, and taking breaks when needed.

at times like these, it's important to remember:

❤️ Humanity over vanity.
❤️ Welfare over perfection.
❤️ Safety over style.

Your dog may not leave looking competition-ready, but they'll leave comfortable, cared for and safe and that's what truly matters.

Stay cool, groom responsibly and let's continue putting dogs first. 🐾
