I am currently helping my husband train a stalking dog and so I’ve been practicing some of our methods with my little collie Bob, I had a brilliant weekend this weekend with the Artemis Deerstalking ladies, training with deer tracking services, Bob tracked amazingly over some very difficult terrain and I was over the moon that she managed a four hour old track with ease! I also passed my lantra Intro to deer tracking course with top marks 😆 tracking in any capacity is such good fun and is such a great outlet for our dogs!

My little boy has recently become very interested in training with our dogs, he has been having such a lovely time taking Glen to Halcyon Hounds for training club, it’s lovely seeing him gain confidence ❤️

In this last block of Sunday classes there have been some brilliant young handlers across all classes.

They have been polite, engaging and worked beautifully with their dogs.

It’s been so good to see and it has been a pleasure to work with everyone.

In our Training Club class yesterday we worked on a course of skills, with the last run against the clock, and the fastest team won.

Our winners were Arran and Glen. Very well deserved.

My son Arran and our little lab Annie who is only 11 months old, went to the Young Handlers Day with the Bristol and West Gundog society and got a first and third place! I am a very proud of both of them ❤️

Ryan and I had a great day today doing IGP style tracking with Bobbie and Annie, Bob has tracked previously but we have never done such precise work before and it was great to see how hard Annie worked, she gave it her all, so excited to see how she develops as she gets older and gains experience, we both have fried brains from learning so much! 😴
