A Jack Russell in England became a regular at his local pub without needing an owner to take him there.

His name was Ratty.

The little dog lived in Dunnington, near York, and reportedly learned how to catch the No. 10 bus into the city all by himself.

He would wait near the bus stop with other passengers, hop on, ride several miles into York and get off near the Black Bull pub.

Once inside, staff knew him well.

They kept a water bowl for him, gave him sausages and let him hang around like any other regular.

Sometimes Ratty would stay until closing time.

One of the barmaids even lived near his home, so she would give him a lift back after work.

Then the Black Bull changed hands.

Dogs were no longer allowed inside.

So Ratty did what any loyal pub customer would do.

He found another pub.

He simply started going to the nearby Rose & Crown instead, where he was welcomed as a new regular.

A dog that caught the bus to the pub by himself, ate sausages, stayed until closing and then got a lift home.

And when his favorite pub banned him, he took his business elsewhere.
