❄️CRYOSURGERY❄️

Introducing the CryoIQ, the way to freeze, destroy and remove skintags, warts and suitable masses.

Following a check and reccomendation from the Vet, many small skin masses can be removed simply and inexpensively without the need for GA.

This treatment is often very well tolerated by pets and can be performed with owners in the room - it only takes a couple of seconds! ⏰️

Enquire with a vet to see if Cryo surgery is suitable for your pet! 🐕🐈

As part of the Medivet Health care plan, pets are entitled to a yearly Interim check with a Nurse.
This usually falls 6 months after the vaccination with the Vet. 🩺

This appointment is used to check the health and welfare of your pet, and to answer any questions you might have.

This is also a great opportunity for the Nurse to highlight any concerns that you may not necessarily have noticed.

*While Nurses are happy to see any pets, these visits are not intended for unwell animals or those needing urgent care as Nurses can not diagnose or prescribe treatment*

Did you know that we offer laser therapy?

Laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment that reduces pain, inflammation, and promotes healing using specific wavelengths of light.

It can be used for a variety of conditions, including;
🔵Chronic pain and arthritis
🔵Post-surgical recovery
🔵Musculoskeletal injuries
🔵Skin conditions and wounds
🔵Nerve injuries

🐶This is Blake, he has lumbosacral disease, which causes compression of his nerves in his lower spine. The laser therapy helps to reduce inflammation, and increase blood circulation which results in a decrease in pain and swelling.

What is heatstroke in dogs?☀️
Dogs can struggle to cope in hot weather because they mainly cool themselves by panting and sweating through their paws and nose. Heatstroke happens when their body temperature rises too high and they can no longer cool themselves down, which can quickly become life-threatening.
Heatstroke is most common during warm weather, but it can also happen after sudden temperature changes or intense exercise. Flat-faced breeds, thick-coated dogs, overweight dogs and very active dogs are at greater risk, although any dog can be affected.
🐶Signs of heatstroke in dogs-
‼️Symptoms include:
Excessive panting or drooling
Excessive thirst
Very red gums
Rapid heartbeat
Lethargy or weakness
Vomiting or diarrhoea
Staggering, collapsing or seizures
If your dog shows any of these signs, cool them down immediately and contact us at 01903200187 or during out-of-hours please contact Vets Now Worthing on 01903954322.
💦How to cool a dog down-
Move them somewhere cool and shaded
Stand them in water and shower them with a hose all over their body. If you have a double or deep coated dog, you may wish to brush the fur in the opposite direction to make sure the fluid is contacting the skin. Ensure your dogs feet, armpits and groin are all thoroughly soaked
Allow them to drink water but DO NOT force them
Use air conditioning or open windows during transport to the vet
Even if they seem better, veterinary treatment is still essential.
✋🏻Preventing heatstroke
Avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day
Provide shade and fresh water at all times
Never leave a dog in a hot car
Keep long-haired dogs well groomed
Cars can become dangerously hot within minutes, even on mild days. 🤩We have some great tips for keeping dogs cool on our website - https://www.medivetgroup.com/pet-care/pet-advice/10-tips-to-care-for-your-dog-in-the-heat/
