We are rather fascinated by this video of adorable little Dottie and her big brother Lenny demonstrating their circus skills.
As you can see Lenny has perfected the skill slightly more than Dottie but at just 4 months old we think she has quite a career in performing arts ahead of her!
We also feel we need to mention her rather adorable tail markings.
We really do have a tough job! ❤️

Winnie, the very beautiful Ragdoll kitten, visited us this morning to organise her spay procedure next week.

Loved very much by her Mum and Dad, we couldn’t get over how beautifully coordinated she was to her cat carrier!

See you next week little Winnie.

We’ve shared what to do if your dog develops heatstroke, but don't forget cats can be affected too.

Cats will often naturally seek out cooler areas when they become warm, but they can still develop heatstroke, particularly in hot, poorly ventilated environments such as conservatories, sunrooms and enclosed spaces.

Some cats are more vulnerable than others. Flat-faced breeds such as Persians, Exotic Shorthairs and flatter-faced British Shorthairs can be at greater risk, along with long-haired cats, kittens, older or overweight cats and those with underlying heart or respiratory conditions.

During warmer weather, make sure your cat always has access to fresh water and a cool, shaded place to rest. Be particularly mindful of indoor cats and rooms that can become much hotter as the day progresses.

🚨 If you suspect your cat has heatstroke, here are steps to follow quickly:

1. Move them to a cool, shaded area and gently begin cooling them with cool (not cold!) water, keeping water away from their nose and mouth. Create airflow with a fan or open windows and offer a small amount of cool water, but never force them to drink.

2. A cool, damp towel can be placed underneath your cat to lie on, rather than wrapping or covering them.

3. Contact your vet immediately. Heatstroke is an emergency and, even if your cat appears to improve with cooling, veterinary assessment is important as serious internal complications can occur.

Save this post for the warmer days ahead, and if you’re ever concerned that your cat may be struggling with the heat, please contact your veterinary team for advice.
