It’s our 11th Shop Anniversary Pawty TODAY at Aries Dog Boutique 🥳

Our shop is open from 10am, where you can enter our big Grand Raffle for a chance to win one of these fab prizes 🏆

Our 11th shop Anniversary & fundraiser Pawty in memory of my beloved Aries the Pug is fast approaching!

The event is being held at Aries Dog Boutique next Saturday 29th August, to honour my boys memory & help us in raising much needed funds for Animal Cancer Trust charity.

Many of you know by now that my Aries passed away back in April from Bowel Cancer. So I’d personally like to raise more awareness for this disease & cause, which is obviously close to my heart, & often not discussed about enough in pets ♥️

On the day there will be:
🦴Big Doggy Raffle 🏆
🦴Free Puppuccinos 🍨
🦴Doggy Ice Cream 🍦
🦴Fizz & cake for the humans 🍾

We will be showing all our raffle prizes on offer, which you can enter on the day to win.

At the weekend it was officially the 11th Anniversary of our shop in Worthing! 🥳

Last year marking 10 years in business was obviously a huge milestone for myself & Aries, but this year without him here beside me I must be honest & say I don’t have the same buzz or excitement.

However, I know my boy would still want me to celebrate the shops 11th year. So our plan is to have a little party event in the shop on Saturday 29th August!
More details to follow soon, but the soul purpose is to celebrate Aries’s memory, & to raise funds for a dog/animal cancer charity (please message below this post any good ones).

Expect raffle prizes, drinks, doggy treats & Puppuchinos!!

Behind the scenes, though the grief of Aries is still very much present, I’m slowly trying to get myself & the business back in the swing of things. I’m sorry if you’ve visited us recently & we haven’t maybe had what you wanted in stock, but I am trying my best to keep your favourite treat essentials in stock, as well as working on ordering amazing new products & brands in! We’re also working on our long awaited e-commerce website, which should be live in early Autumn ☺️

I very much want to start posting lots of shop content & dogs frequently again.
I also just want to say thank you to all my loyal customers who have continued to support us through the difficult times. Some of you have been shopping with us since the beginning in 2015, I appreciate you all so much ❤️

Hi everyone 👋

I know It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything shop wise. I haven’t felt like posting since loosing my boy, Aries, last month 💙

However there was something important I was meant to address soon after his passing, I think now is the right time.

So by now most of you will know that I have recently sold my dog grooming business, Aries Grooming Parlour 🚿

After opening the grooming parlour 2 years ago, I decided at the end of last year that I wanted to move away from the dog grooming world!

The truth is it’s been challenging to run two shops by myself over the last few years. With many unwanted staff changes often impacting the business, & not being a dog groomer myself, I often felt everything was out of my control. Also with Aries poor health for the last year of his life, the idea was to spend as much time with him as possible. Sadly that didn’t work out.

However I’m very proud of what I had built up, & the regular client list I had gained. So rather than closing a decent business & also not wanting to let all my customers down, I decided to sell it to someone else, an actual dog groomer who could make it their own!

Please give a warm welcome to Hannah, the new owner of Aries Grooming Parlour, which has been newly named Dogsy’s Groom Room LTD 🐶

Hannah started working for me in December last year, & by January she asked me if I would be happy to sell the business to her. We get on so well, & due to her already being my clients groomer it felt like the best decision for everyone! Importantly to me, this process has been a smooth transition for my former customers, who can simply still book their grooms in store or on the Booksy app.

I wish Hannah all the best of luck. I’m still next door for support, & I know that your four legged friends will be in the best of hands 🫶🐾

I want to clarify that Aries Dog Boutique is NOT closing!

I deeply miss my sidekick, Aries, but I am excited to start this new chapter, bringing my full attention back to the shop, with fab new brands & products to be introduced in the coming months!

I know Aries would want his Daddy to carry on.
After all, this is his legacy 🐶❤️

There are so many more things I wanted to say on this video, but tbh my head is like mush atm, so I’ll say some more here…

Please excuse the puffy eyes, I’ve not been sleeping very well since my Aries sadly passed away last Wednesday.
The nights are the worst, I miss how he used to sleep on my head and I really miss his snoring. To me it was soothing & therapeutic, something only a dog owner could understand.

This really is an appreciation video to everyone who has reached out to me since loosing my little soul mate.
The pain & loss has been unbearable, but so many of my customers & friends have kept me going, & have checked in daily to see how I am doing.

I want to say a special thank you to the whole team at
Jonathan was Aries vet for the last 7 months of his life. Thank you for looking after my boy and continuing to find ways of helping him as much as possible.

Lastly I want to answer some common questions I have been asked.
I’m definitely not looking to get another dog any time soon, I just want to grieve Aries in my own time & remember the good times. Hopefully one day my heart will be ready for another dog, but I have no desire right now.
I also have no plans to close Aries Dog Boutique, it is my livelihood, & I only renewed the lease last Summer.
This is Aries’s legacy & I want to make him proud of his Daddy 🥹♈️🐶

My first Birthday without you hurts more than I can say 💔😔

You have been gone for nearly a week now, I miss you like crazy, & it still hasn’t sunk in or feel real that you are gone.
Processing that I won’t ever see you again is the toughest pain I’ve ever felt.

Tears still fill my eyes as I type this.
I don’t know when or if they will ever stop, but just know my unconditional love for you will never end!

I’m so grateful this lovely photo of us was taken by one of my best friends just 5 days before Aries passed 🫶

I just want to say thank you to the overwhelming response I’ve had & am still having on my last post about Aries. To see how much he meant to all my customers & people who have met him in the shop over the past 10+ years has been very touching.
Thank you also for all the cards, flowers, gifts & hugs 🫂

My sweet baby boy, I truly hope & believe that one day, I will see you again 💙🐶

With heavy tears in my eyes as I type this incredibly heartbreaking post, I’m devastated to announce the most painful loss I’ve ever experienced in my life.

My beautiful baby boy, Aries, unexpectedly passed away infront of my eyes from a heart attack, on Wednesday 8th April 💔

We were at the vets at the time, where Aries was being checked over as normal, & suddenly out of no where, his little body just gave way!
A horrifying image I will never get out of my head, my Mum & I were in total shock. I felt so helpless not being able to do anything to help him, it all happened so quickly!
I said to him, please don’t leave me, not yet, but he was gone in seconds. I just hope he heard me say, Daddy loves you!
My vet told me that Aries wouldn’t have suffered or felt any pain, which at least gives me some comfort.

Ironically, that same morning I had been chatting on the phone to Vets2Home, about how I wanted Aries life to end with me peacefully at home when the time was right.
This wasn’t how I imagined my baby boy to leave me, but it was his way of telling me it was his time to go.

It’s only been just over a month since we received the worst news that Aries had Bowel Cancer.
He was so strong & courageous, fighting on since October last year when he first showed signs of a stomach bug.

Aries died exactly a year to the day since we first visited Noel Fitzpatrick, where he had an MRI scan & we started our difficult journey with his IVDD. After the success of his surgery in August last year, I documented to you all how well his back legs were recovering.
I can’t tell you how gutted I am that he won’t get to enjoy more years of running free in the sun!

I’m also incredibly sad that not only Aries didn’t make it to my Birthday next week, but also because he has been taken from me in my ARIES zodiac month.
A time that means so much to me, & of course what I named my little Pug after. A little dog that defined my life, my business, & ultimately gave me all the unconditional love back in return.

Daddy loves you so very much, my son.
I miss your cuddles already, I’ll never stop loving you!
You’ll be in my heart forever & your legacy will live on at Aries Dog Boutique ❤️🐾
