Today is 🐈🐈‍⬛❤️‍🩹

Who are feral cats?

Feral cats are domestic cats that live wild and have had little or no human contact, meaning interaction with people can be very stressful for them.

❤️ How can we help?

✂️ Neutering helps prevent unwanted litters and control feral cat populations
🏡 Providing suitable outdoor shelter can help protect them, especially during colder months
🩺 Sick or injured feral cats may need veterinary care
🐾 Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) programmes help improve welfare and manage colonies humanely

💚 Remember, feral cats deserve care and protection, too. Sometimes, the kindest thing we can do is respect their space while ensuring they have the support they need.

🍗Pet Obesity Awareness Day🧀

Today is about being mindful of and monitoring the weight of our pets in order to prevent health issues and prolong their lifespan.

How much should my cat weigh?
Your cat’s ideal weight will depend on their individual circumstances, age, gender and breed. Your vet will be able to tell you what your cat’s ideal weight is, but as a general guide:
• kittens will vary depending on age and breed. They’ll gain weight every month until they are fully grown
• adult and senior cats can weigh between 3.6 to 4.5kg (depending on size and breed)
There’s no ‘one size fits all’ approach to what cats should weigh. The only way to know exactly how much your individual cat should weigh is by speaking to your vet.

🌍World Mental Health Day🧠

Did you know that according to a survey held by Cats Protection, over nine out of ten cat owners (93.7%) state that owning a cat helps their mental health?

The survey also uncovered some slightly more light-hearted findings, including:

🥳 More than half of owners celebrate their cat’s birthday!

🤫 Around half of owners have shared a secret with their cat, such as telling them who they fancied.

👋 Four in five make a special effort to say goodbye to their cat when they leave the house.

🐾 It’s ! 🐾

Did you know that lions are the only big cat species to live in a group (or pride) and all others live in solitude?

Do you have a favourite animal fact? 😻
Share your answer in the comments, you might just make someone’s day! 👇

It’s ! 😺 Although cats lack the facial muscles to smile, they show us how they are feeling with their ears and tail. For example, tail up and ears forward are signs they are happy and relaxed. But tail down and ears flat against their head are signs they may be stressed. Learn more about your cat’s body language here: http://spr.ly/BodyLanguage

It’s , so what better time to trace the evolution of all those nicknames we give our cats! 🤔🤭

Does your cat have a nickname that has somehow developed (or completely changed!) over time? Tell us your nickname stories in the comments! 🐾👇

I’ll start! Our Renny on the photo has had quite the journey over the years from Rennygirl to the rather unexpected Rabarbara 😹

What is your cat really feeling? 🤔

There are key indicators that can tell your cat‘s current mood. If you want to learn more about how your cat might be feeling, see our body language decoder here: http://spr.ly/CatDecoder

Is there something unique your cat does to show you how they are feeling? 🐈

🌞💛Happy Sunbathing Sunday! 🌞🐾

We all know that cats are experts at seeking out sun rays. Have your cats found their sunny spot today? 😺
Show us in the comments ⬇️

Lilly and her daughter Tilly must be very close to the sun at their outpost so high up!
