Did you catch our exciting news last week? We are now accredited as a Dog Friendly Clinic as part of a scheme ran by the Dogs Trust and British Veterinary Behaviour Association 🏆

Many dogs find vet visits stressful, which can result in them being unwilling to enter clinics, being difficult to examine, and worried during treatment. The Dog Friendly Clinic scheme helps practice staff develop dog behaviour knowledge and skills so they can recognise and address early signs of anxiety and improve the welfare of dogs whilst in the clinic. This means improved safety for staff and customers and helps the client-clinic bond 🐶

Our team have been carrying out several of these adaptations for many years so it is reassuring to have formal recognition of our efforts from such an important scheme 🌟

We currently have two cats who are safely in our care after appearing to lose their way! 🐱 Can you help us find their owners by sharing this post? 📢

The first is a very handsome ginger and white, entire adult, male domestic shorthair found in Harworth 🐈

The second is a very cute black and white, entire female, domestic shorthair kitten (approximately 12 weeks old) who was found on Manvers Street in Worksop 🐈

Unfortunately neither of these animals have a microchip or collar so we are appealing to the powers of social media for people to like and share this post, in the hopes that we can find their owners! 📢Please remember to BE KIND if commenting on this post.

If one of these cats is yours, please call 01909 472059 or email "[email protected]" (proof of ownership will be required). Thank you ☺️

Happy Bank Holiday weekend ☀️We hope you have a lovely weekend enjoying the long awaited warm weather! 😎

Please remember that our pets cannot adapt to the warmer weather as easily as us humans, meaning that they are at serious risk of suffering from heatstroke. 🌡️ The RSPCA have some great advice on adjusting your dog's walking routine to keep them safe alongside several other points to remember that are also useful for cats and smaller pets! 🐶😺🐰

If you suspect your pet is suffering from heatstroke, seek immediate up to date guidance from your veterinary team!📞

We took some time to wish her a Happy Birthday where she had an amazing cake baked by Ellie, one of our Patient Care Assistants🎂 Happy Birthday Carlene! 🥳

The practice will be closed 3PM - 5PM today for staff training. If you need to collect any medication, please call in outside of these hours. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are delighted to share some great news as we are now accredited as a Dog Friendly Clinic! 📢🐶

The Dog Friendly Clinic Scheme, an initiative run by Dogs Trust and the British Veterinary Behaviour Association (BVBA), ensures the most comfortable veterinary care experience possible for dogs and their owners. This achievement deserves an extra special mention to Amy Dey, one of our Registered Veterinary Nurses who worked incredibly hard on our application process 🌟

📢Earlier this week, you may have seen on the news or on social media about a change in policy for pet passports following new EU roles. To clarify:

🔎An EU pet passport, issued to or held by a pet owner who is resident in GB, will no longer be a valid document for travelling with pets from GB to the EU. This applies to EU pet passports issued in an EU Member State or Northern Ireland, including those issued before 22 April 2026. EU pet passports may only be issued to owners whose main residence is within the European Union. This means GB residents – even if they already have an EU pet passport – may need a different document to take their pet to the EU.

For further information, please visit the gov.uk website: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-eu-rules-for-pet-travel-for-gb-residents
