It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hazel Brothwell (Mum) over the weekend. Roger and Hazel were the founders and driving force of Wayside Water Gardens. Originally starting behind the family Supermarket in Langold in 1965 then moving to Oldcotes in 1972. After losing Roger in 1989 mum concentrated on her book-keeping role until her retirement five years ago.

It may be getting towards the end of the pond season but with temperatures still high it's still an ideal time to add those last few fish to your pond. At this time of year Koi and Goldfish are in their very best condition and are fine to be re-homed. Also we still have good stocks of Koi from 3"-20" and all colours of Goldfish from 3". Green tench, Golden orfe and Albino Sterlets are also in stock. So why not take advantage of the mild weather and add more fish before things get too cold.

If you don't have an outdoor pond but do have a large, indoor cold water aquarium then these beauties should interest you. Premium grade 4"-5" Oranda's. £24.00 each or 2 for £44.00.

Just released and out for sale today, 6"-7" Butterfly Koi at a very reasonable cost!

Another top-up for the Bank holiday weekend. All the Koi in the blue bowls are 18"-20" at £499.00 each.

We are again fully stocked with water lilies, marginal and oxygenating plants, floating plants and snails. After the last few weeks of intense heat, things are finally cooling down and the pond plants are much happier. This will probably be our largest stock up this Autumn so if you are ready to plant up your pond I would take advantage of our fabulous selection of plants.
