🐴Tokoda Tuesday 🐴

This week on Tokoda Tuesday he met the dentists. Big thank you to Matt Kerrigan Equine Dentist for being the best with him. He’s too young to have any work done however that doesn’t stop him from still having a little check to make sure that everything is growing and working properly.

He also got to watch all the other horses have their work done to show him that it isn’t scary. 🤎

Hey guys it’s me again. Your favourite cob Flynn. I’ve done some thinking this week and I have decided that being a horse is actually hard work.

First, I have to look handsome. Then I have to carry people around the countryside. I also have to sniff through peoples pockets for snacks. 🍎
And apparently I’m supposed to make sensible decisions all the time… Which may I add Is a lot to ask with my personality.

If I decide I need a five minute snack break halfway through a trek, that’s not me being “greedy” it’s me having a pre lunch snack. 🍃
If I stop to stare at something, that’s not me being dramatic, i’m conducting an investigation 🫆

But most importantly I have decided that Kaitlan is my personal scratch assistant. She may think she has other jobs to do but seem as I run the place I have different ideas. If I stand next to her and push myself into her, that’s a very clear instruction.

Scratches now !
And if she stops ? I move closer. If she says “Flynn I’m tired now” ? I give her the sad eyes and she must carry on. I’m honestly not sure why she needs reminding.

This week I also have to watch Buster near my rug. As the weather has changed its mind to rain constantly now I don’t want my new rug getting ripped as Buster is still in last seasons rug. He’s not as cool as me. Don’t tell him I said that though. 🌧️

I’m off though now guys. If you see me I’ll mostly be eating, possibly napping, fending off Buster and off to find Kaitlan and demand more scratches and just incase anyone thinks I’m exaggerating. I have video evidence.

Hey guys it’s the best time of the week again. Obviously hearing from me your favourite cob Flynn.

This week I’ve decided that everyone needs a little “Flynn life advice”. As someone who has spent the majority of my life doing what I want when I want. I’m going to what’re some wisdom with you all.

If in doubt, eat grass. 🌱
Spend most of my time doing this so may be you should try it too. Im never unhappy when eating.

Never underestimate the power of a nap. 😴
If you’re tired have a nap. If you’re not tired, stop and just have a nap anyway.

Always investigate strange objects. 👀
Wheelbarrow in the wrong place? Stange. Puddle ? Suspicious. Plastic bag ? Now that can be life threatening so take your time and look at everything.

NEVER trust anyone that says “I haven’t got any snacks”🍎
Don’t believe them and check through their pockets anyway.

Don’t let anyone rush you. 🐴
Especially when you’re walking and looking at potential snacks. It’s important to spot food sources while you’re out and about.

Be yourself. ❤️
Even if you are dramatic, cheeky and constantly on the look out for snacks. I’m myself and everyone loves me.

And finally always always always remember who’s in charge. Usually me.

🐴Takoda Tuesday 🐴

This week on Takoda Tuesday he’s had a nice relaxing week celebrating him birthday with lots of birthday cuddles from all us humans.

He’s had a lovely stroll out passing some bikers and walking over the step over. He really does have some brilliant foundations and soon it will time to find him a new home 🥲.

🥳TAKODA IS ONE !🥳

How on earth is he one already?

One year ago today, the biggest surprise arrived when Polly gave us a very unexpected little foal. We had no idea she was pregnant, so Takoda is truly our surprise baby!🥹

From that tiny, wobbly foal to the cheeky, curious young horse he is today. It truly has been so special watching him grow.

He’s made friends, caused plenty of mischief, learnt so much and completely stolen our hearts along the way. 💕

Hey guys it’s the best time of the week meaning it’s obviously Flynn Friday.

This week it’s been a busy one!

Last Monday we had our hobby horse activity day, and I have to say I have never seen so many little horses running around the place. I did keep a ver close eye on them and made sure they are not stealing my job. 👀

Just when I thought I was going to get a quiet week Georgia informed me that we are having our pony craft day on Monday.

Apparently the children will be making lots of pony themed crafts, with tons of glitter.
I have already put in for a request for a portrait of me. It better be accurate.
☑️Big ears
☑️Handsome face
☑️Favourite snack

The rest of the week has been filled with trekking, eating, supervising, causing a little chaos, snack checking, and most importantly reminding everyone that I’m still the most important horse here. It is a busy life being Flynn. 🐴

I’m off to check the glitter stash, see you all Monday ❤️

🚨🚨🚨 This will KILL🚨🚨🚨

I did make a post about this a month or so ago. So just a quick reminder now the school holidays are in full flow. Our horses are along the path at the end of the Creswell Crags. We love that you all admire them and when they walk over they are a very friendly bunch and will stand for a pat and a fuss.

🚨But please NO feeding.🚨

We have a horses in here with allergies, one has a very high risk to laminitis (which can cause the bone in their feet to move. There is no cure), and we have a couple of older ones that are likely to choke on food that has not been checked by us. If this continues the outcome can be life threatening costing thousands in vet fees, not to mention the heartbreak and stress of potentially losing a well loved horse. Enjoy them from a distance.

🚨YOUR ACTIONS WILL KILL 🚨
