Yesterday, I had a look at the analytics for our website sales. 82% of the orders we receive come from repeat customers!

We've always said how much we appreciate our customers, both trade and direct, but it's more than that.

When you see those sorts of figures and read comments like this from Yvonne,

'Our dogs love these high quality hypoallergenic treats. In the past it has been difficult to train/reward our dogs who have food allergies and intolerances making mass produced poorer quality dog treats off the menu. We have never looked back since finding Apawtiser. Happy dogs / very happy humans 😊' ,

We have many customers who feel the same way, it makes us realise just how privileged we are to have them.

Whether you buy the occasional product from us as a treat for your pup, or are one of the people who won't give their dog a treat unless it is made by Apawtiser, it is a real honour that you feed them our treats.

💛 WORLD SU***DE PREVENTION DAY 💛

Legends, today we're talking about something far more important than burgers.

Today, BJ's is proud to be supporting In Sam's name

Every single day in the UK, around 18–20 people die by su***de.

Read that again.

18–20 people. Every day.

But they're not statistics.

They're someone's son.
Someone's daughter.
Someone's dad.
Someone's mum.
Someone's brother.
Someone's sister.
Someone's partner.
Someone's best mate.

And every one of those lives leaves behind families, friends and entire communities changed forever.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day, and this year's message is one we think everyone needs to hear:

START THE CONVERSATION.

Because sometimes the person struggling isn't the person you'd expect.

It might be the loud one.

The funny one.

The one taking the mick out of everyone.

The one who always says "I'm fine."

The one who seems to have everything sorted.

The one who's always there for everybody else.

So ask them.

And don't just ask "You alright?" while walking away.

Ask them properly.

"Are you actually OK?"

Then give them the opportunity to tell you the truth.

You don't need to be a counsellor.

You don't need to have the answers.

You don't need to know the perfect thing to say.

Sometimes you just need to listen.

And if you're the person struggling...

Please don't convince yourself that nobody wants to hear it.

Don't laugh it off because talking feels uncomfortable.

Don't stay silent because you don't want to burden somebody else.

Talk.

To a mate.
To your family.
To someone at work.
To your GP.
To a support group.
To somebody you've never met before.

Just someone.

Because an uncomfortable conversation today is infinitely better than people wishing they'd had that conversation tomorrow.

It's time to 'fess up..

It shouldn't come as any surprise that, like all small businesses, things are tough at the moment.

Our sales have dropped massively this year but we have been determined to keep going. To do this it was decided that we needed to have a steady income. As a result, I have returned to employment after nearly 15 years of being self-employed.

The truth is for over a month, Sarah has been doing everything at Apawtiser. Baking, bagging up, dispatching orders - all her. And she's been doing an amazing job of it.

We wanted to share this so you, our customers, might appreciate why things maybe take a little longer than what you are used to. So you know why we haven't put out details of Halloween treats yet (we're working on it).

We never like to disappoint. We appreciate all the support we receive and are grateful for every order.
