Daisy dog has lived with us at Beloved since January 🌼

She is such a special girl and full of love, cuddles and affection. She will need several visits which we are more than happy to facilitate to help her get to know you before she leaves.

For one day only, we’re opening FOUR 45-minute appointments for potential adopters to meet Tully, Stevie, Pascal & Herbie.

Forget the profile for a moment and come and meet the dogs behind the words. 🐶❤️

Their profiles tell you their histories, needs and behaviour concerns - but they can’t show you their personalities, their quirks, the progress they’ve made or what they’re actually like when you’re standing in front of them.

This is your chance to spend time with them, chat to the people who know them and see whether there could be a connection.

There’s no pressure to commit to adoption on the day - we simply ask that those booking are genuinely considering adopting.

🏡 Please note our dogs’ home requirements:
Due to the needs of the four dogs currently in kennels, we unfortunately cannot book adoption visit appointments for homes with children or cats.

Herbie and Pascal also have anxieties around men, so appointments to meet either of them will need to be with a female potential adopter.

Our little feral Benjamin button ❤️

Benji is our untouchable Cavapoo who hates being touched and groomed. He loves other dogs and shares kennels with his brother Jack. He will sit on your lap on his terms and be stroked on his terms when he gives you his little paw but he has always struggled with the unpredictability of human touch.

He was put under general yesterday and shaved as short as possible to make him comfortable. He looks like a completely different dog!

We did however discover that all over his body, he has old scarring. Some circular scars, some gash looking scars. We aren’t sure what they are from but it would explain why he hates the unpredictability of touch. By the looks of it, the poor boy has been through a lot.

We were a lifeline for Benji when he was surrendered to a boarding kennels last year with the previous owners request to euthanise him.
Thank you to everyone that helped get him to us & thank you to Sian and her dad who gave up their entire day to work on him ❤️

An extra thank you to Tracy who is willing to work with him at Just For The Love Of Dogs to try and make his future grooming experiences a little more positive. You got this Benji! 🤞

💔 RALPHIE NEEDS US 💔

Our beautiful Ralphie was booked in for blood tests today, but sadly things took a frightening turn overnight.

This morning, Ralphie deteriorated badly and couldn’t walk. 😢

We are currently at the vet hospital, where our precious boy is being admitted and will hopefully undergo the tests and treatment he desperately needs.

Right now, we have absolutely no idea what is wrong with him. We don’t know what we are facing or what the next few hours will bring, but one thing we do know is that we have to do everything we possibly can for him.

Ralphie is one of our sanctuary boys. He has been with us and is very much part of our family. He is normally the happiest, most loving boy — always ready with a cuddle, always wanting to be involved and always making us smile. ❤️

Seeing him like this is absolutely heartbreaking.

And, as always, the horrible reality is that saving him comes with a huge financial cost.

After the enormous vet bills we faced last week, honestly, I have no idea how we are going to pay for this. But we cannot sit back and do nothing. Ralphie needs us, and we simply have to try.

Certainly shaping up to be a dry summer. Our only green patches of grass are around all the paddling pools 🤣

Life is a lot sometimes. We're certainly feeling that at the moment.
Today, just chilling with the besties, was an important reminder how important it is for us all to just take a moment.
Dogs are incredible beings and they are often much better at being present in the moment than us humans.
Thank you for reminding me of that guys.
Same again tomorrow morning?
