Dexter is ready for the eclipse tomorrow!

We haven't had a visible eclipse since I was a 7 year old girl sat on goodrington beach in Paignton and we watched it through a hole cut in a bit of paper.

Tomorrow, it is set to peak around 7:12pm in Worcester.

Remember, we know what’s happening. Animals don’t. The sudden drop in light can trigger dusk-like behaviour. Birds may settle, insects may change activity, and nocturnal wildlife could start moving earlier than usual.

So if you’re letting the dog into the garden or heading out later, be a bit more aware. The fox you normally see at 3am or the badger that appears much later might not stick to the usual timetable.

Check the garden. Keep dogs close. Pay attention around hedges and woodland.

And tomorrow, don’t just look up.

Listen. Watch. Notice what the animals around you do.

Also, remember, just because it gets dark. Doesn't mean the pavements or air temperature has instantly cooled down to a safe temperature for walking your dog.

🌍 That random trip before Christmas when everywhere is a bit quieter (and cheaper!)
Almost all of November (except the 25th)

🎄 Christmas shopping, festive weekends away & December trips
Plenty of availability throughout December, apart from 18th–23rd and a few days over Christmas.

I don't often have this much availability sitting there, so if you've been thinking about booking, now's a lovely time to get your dates secured before my diary starts filling up again!
