5 Reasons Riding Is Good for Your Wellbeing
With the clocks going back soon and the darker evenings creeping in, it’s easy to feel a little less motivated at this time of year. But spending time with horses can be a wonderful way to lift your mood, get moving and take a break from everyday life.
1. It helps you switch off
It’s hard to think about your never-ending to-do list when you’re busy remembering which diagonal you’re on!
2. It builds confidence
Whether you’re learning something new, overcoming a challenge or simply having a really good lesson, those little achievements can make a big difference.
3. It keeps you active
Riding helps improve balance, coordination and strength. And yes, it definitely counts as exercise — your legs will tell you that tomorrow!
4. It gives you something to look forward to
Having a lesson booked, spending time with your favourite horse or pony and getting away from your usual routine can give you a real boost.
5. It’s good company
Horses have a wonderful way of making us smile, and they all have so much personality! There’s also something special about being around people who share your love of horses. And, if we do say so ourselves, the staff here at Court Equestrian are pretty good company too!
At Court Equestrian, we welcome riders of all ages and abilities, whether you’re just starting out, returning after a break or have been riding for years.
And with our indoor arena and floodlit outdoor arenas, the darker evenings don’t have to mean putting your riding on hold.
Take a look at our online booking system and give yourself something to look forward to this autumn.
