You may have noticed my donation pot for Worcester Animal Rescue Shelter (WARS) on my desk, I like to support our local animal charities and am always grateful to WARS as the two family dogs I had growing up came from there. Lucy & Bailey found themselves in need of new homes and they were my first experience of living with dogs. I now have my 2 lovely Border Collies and couldn't imagine life without a dog!

I called into Dunelm today as they're doing a fantastic 'delivering joy' scheme, you can collect a gift tag from their tree for someone in need of a little extra joy this year. The tag says what they'd like and we've taken it home to pack a gift for them. When it's ready we take it back to the store and it will be delivered to someone in need this Christmas.

It's such a lovely scheme I wanted to raise awareness of, and this year it's in support of 4 good causes, one of which is WARS!

A little snapshot of my morning today, I've had two beautiful dogs in!

First up was Fifi, who covered me in kisses and is just an absolute sweetheart! 🥰

Next was Skylar, the majestic White Shepherd, who nearly fell asleep while being dried again today! 😴

I'm so grateful to have such lovely dogs to spend my days with ❤️

Congratulations to Tilly who completed the puppy package today at 19 weeks old. I absolutely loved the puppy cuddles and her confidence with grooming is growing every time I see her!

A full trim for the final session isn't always achievable, it depends on the temperament of the dog but Tilly was ready for it!

She certainly tested my handling experience with clipping her head and ears on a wriggly puppy but she had plenty of playtime with a tennis ball to break it up. Attention spans on a puppy like with toddlers are short! But I'm very used to that! 🤣

I've had a very productive morning getting lots of my lovely regulars rebooked for January–June 2027. I haven't spent so long staring at a computer screen in years!

My diary is now looking very full for the first half of next year, with some months already at or very close to capacity.

If you're already a regular client and have asked me to rebook your appointments, these should now be in the diary and I will confirm them at your next appointment. 💛

I’m currently keeping two waiting lists:
🐾 Cancellation list – for existing clients hoping for an adhoc appointment
🐾 Regular grooming waiting list – for anyone hoping to join me on an ongoing grooming schedule when a suitable space becomes available

Thank you for keeping my little salon so busy. It means so much to have so many of you choosing to come back year after year. 🥰

Do your dog's nails look like this? Can you hear them tapping on the floor?

Long nails can affect how a dog stands and walks, while dewclaws can curl around unnoticed because they don’t often naturally wear down.

Standalone nail-trimming appointments are £15 and I can usually offer these within a week. Nail trims are by appointment only, guaranteeing yours is the only dog in the salon at the time.
