We were tagged in this post about the kittens tonight. So I popped over to see and saw them, and a couple came to help. We set the remote controlled trap and the lady was putting biscuits down and in the trap. And as soon as the kitten went it I pressed the button and the trap shut . The other one ran off and a fox was then in the bushes so back tomorrow to get other one.

The trap is one I made myself its remote controlled, it has a drone clip on the top and a loop of string holds the trap door up. So as soon as a cat walks in I press the button and it shuts. No waiting and praying the cat steps on the plate. As some cat don't they lean over to eat the food. It can be frustrating but not with this one. 😻😻😻😻

If you don't suceed first time go back and try again. Trying to catch george a semi feral cat( chipped and neutered) who's owner is moving and needs the cat catching as won't come near enough. First attempt today and went ok as cat came around the trap and pulled some chicken out. And didn't seem scared of the trap. So hopefully tomorrow we can catch him.

I saw this on another page and wondered what are your thoughts on this?

"We have made animal rescue way too convenient for everybody except the people actually doing the rescuing"

Found a dog?
“Call a rescue.”

Moving and can’t take your pets?
“Call a rescue.”

Had a litter you didn’t plan for?
“Call a rescue.”

Dog needs training you never bothered to do?
“Call a rescue.”

Cat had kittens because nobody got her spayed?
“Call a rescue.”

Had a baby and don't want your pet? Call a rescue.

And if the rescue says they’re full?

Suddenly they’re the ones to blame.

Somewhere along the way, “rescue” stopped meaning people helping animals in bad situations and started meaning an unlimited cleanup service for everybody else’s decisions.

Except rescue isnt unlimited.

There are limited fosters.
Limited to NO money.
Limited space.
Limited hours in the day.

And very tired people on the other end of that phone.

Rescue absolutely matters.

But so does personal responsibility before rescue becomes necessary.

That’s the conversation we need to start having.

This would be helped massively by people taking self responsibility when getting a cat or kitten and knowing that it’s a commitment and not just something you can give away or throw out ❤️🐾

Update on junior

Junior was back at vets for his check up as it was 4 weeks ago today since his xrays, Yes 4 weeks🤔. And its good news his kneecap is not moving around its more stable. So junior is about to be free from his cage and move around. BUT only in a small area so he can build up his muscles around his knee and leg with out getting the zoomies. So in the small room with the kittens so can move around and climb . And hopefully this was makes a full recovery without surgery 🙏 ❤️❤️❤️❤️😻😻😻😻😻.

Yes willow is back with us, the couple rang and said willow is back can I come take her so shes safe.
Willow moved from one side of Bassett to woodshaw and every so often leaves her new home to go back to her old home. The couple ring me i go get willow message the owners and have willow here until the owners come get her.

Just been contacted about this cat that has turned up at the scrap yard just outside royal wootton Bassett. If anyone recognise this cat please get in touch.
