breeds; steadiness is as important for a German Shorthaired pointer as it is for a Springer spaniel. Kimberley Gundogs is a family affair and Steve’s wife Coshy is a qualified cordon bleu chef and this is definitely an added bonus when attending the training courses. Breakfast, lunch and a three course evening meal are all prepared to a high standard. Coshy looks after the day to day running of Kimberley Gundogs. She is also a very keen gundog handler and regularly picks up on numerous estates throughout the South West.

Crufts 2026!
What a great day, the kids did us proud.

What a really great couple of days training at Emblehope in Northumberland. Our final visit to this fabulous ground.
I must thank everyone who has joined us over the years training or shooting here your enthusiasm and jollyness has been great.
On a personal note I have great memories of judging the first KC Open Trial at Emblehope afew years ago now.
Another great memory was Steve winning the HPR Championships here in 2023.

A huge thank you must go to Raymond Holt and Anne is wife for really putting thier heart and soul into the smooth running of the Estate to make it what it was for all of us.

We had a fabulous two days training with a really nice bunch of folk, alot of whom consider this a very special place aswell, I know I was quiet emotional as I drove out for the last time.

Thank you to all handlers who joined us on our Spring residential training, held on The Lothian Estate near Jedburgh.
This was predominantly a hunting and ground treatment week with abit of retrieving thrown in.
All the dogs really did well as did thier trusty handlers, sustaining 5 days on the trot.......as you can see from the pictures.....the weather was good! Blue sky!!!
A massive thank you must go to Edward Bell and Lothian Estate and to a really good bunch of handlers......

I am just putting some training dates together for Spring 2026 in Northumberland.
We have some courses already booked up for February and early March.

At this point we canbe quite flexible, so if you have a group that would like to come up for 1 days training or 2 days. It canbe a weekend or during the week......let me know.

If you want to join a group course, let me know the level you are at or if you have specific things you think you would like to cover.......

We can offer a variety of grounds to work over, near our house but also have other ground that we use in and around the area.
In the spring we like to beable to offer as much hunting as is possible before the ground nesting birds restrictions.

Steve and I have now finished our 4 weeks of Residential training courses which we run yearly. Thanks to you all for joining us on these weeks. You as handlers, oh, and the guns of course are what make these courses work so well. Both Steve and I appreciate your continued support and hope you have a very enjoyable shooting season.

Information just come to my attention that TOPICAL HRT treatments can have radical effects on puppies (they lick everything!!!). Difficult though it may be, make your vet aware!
