Really looking forward to being back at the Baggeridge walk this Sunday. Hope to see lots of you there 😁🐾

Our next Baggeridge walk of 2026 is this Sunday 6th September 🐾🐾 Meet, as usual, by play area from 10.30, for an 11am prompt set off.

Choice of 3 walks followed by our post walk meet up in the Lydiate Room for cake & refreshments for the humans & sausages for the dogs.

So come along and join our Greyhound Get Togethers (all breeds welcome on the walks) along with some of our gorgeous greys from the kennels - a great opportunity to meet and greet a greyhound and find out more about them. See you there

A huuge thank you to the incredible Shaun Reynolds at Fortitude, who, through his work with the ARC tracks has been a huge support throughout Fred's incredible August journey.
Thanks to him the story made it to the Express & Star, Racing Post & others, we were interviewed on BBC Radio WM, and he was there with us right to the end when he joined us on Monday and has put together a fantastic video, check it out.....

Oh wow! 🥹
Yesterday was such a special day and to have so many fellow volunteers there, to see Freddy leading an army of blue shirts, just showed what an incredible family we have joined.
It's been a crazy month and at times I've felt more like his PA or his agent than his Mum but my word what memories we have created along the way.
So proud to be a part of Home Run Hounds and even prouder to be Mum 🥰 x

What an incredible end to an incredible journey today was.
I don't even have enough words to express the pride, the gratitude or the emotion felt but THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who has donated, followed, supported, shared and been with us throughout August, and an enormous THANK YOU to everyone that turned up today to make it one heck of a special finish, friends, family, followers, fellow volunteers, RAW Explores, Little Wins With Charl , even Freddy's head teacher and assistant head came along. There was so much love felt today that it was purely overwhelming and a day that will be cherished forever.
There was also a further £101.15 in the collection bucket today.
We have made friends over this past month that will last forever, met people we never would have met without this challenge, and conquered the nerves like a pro!
Again, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Collectively you have helped Freddy raise over £5,400 for Home Run Hounds Greyhound Charity and the fundraiser is still open 🤩👏

Did you hear us on BBC radio this morning? 😆
For a shy child and a mum who despises her voice I think we have a hell of a lot to be proud of for doing this, we were clinging onto each other a fair bit 🤣
But we're here, at the end of what has been an incredible month, now just pulling into Himley ready to meet people at 10.30am for his final walk.
Hopefully see lots of you then! 🥰

The penultimate day of Freddy's 100km August Challenge and split into 2 he managed 3.6km to leave a final 2km remaining for the morning's Himley walk.
The evening walk was a very wet, windy, thundery one but it had to happen. Fingers crossed we get a dry spell for his big finale!
Mon 31st 10:30am Himley Hall and Park, everyone is welcome! 😊

This Monday 31st August meet Freddy at 10.30am on the grass by the main Himley Hall car park and join him to walk his last 2km's of this incredible challenge. Everyone is welcome, with or without a dog 😃

A decent push of 4.8km yesterday with 2.5 walking some of his favourite kennel dogs in the morning and a scenic 2.3 around Severn Valley Country Park eyeing up fishing spots with Dad in the afternoon, and our Eddy of course 🥰🐾
Only 5.6km to go now and he's smashed £5k in donations! 🥳🥳🥳
