We’ve very sadly had a deceased, black and white male neutered cat brought in to our Wokingham practice this morning.
He is not chipped, so unfortunately we are unable to reach his owners.
He was found on Nine Mile Ride this morning, near St Sebastian’s church.

It’s Cat Takeover Month! Meet baby Oreo and follow along on his big castration day. 💙

Step 1: Check in with our lovely reception team and relax in our cat-only waiting area. All our feline visitors get a cosy Feliway blanket to help them feel safe and comfortable.

Step 2: an intravenous catheter is placed for safety and to allow us to give medications like pain relief and anaesthetics

Step 3: Compulsory cuddles! 💜 Oreo receives his pre-med, a medication that provides pain relief and helps him feel calm, relaxed and sleepy before his general anaesthetic. Just look at that snug little face!

Step 4: Intubation 💜 We gently place an endotracheal (ET) tube into Oreo’s windpipe to help keep his airway open and deliver anaesthetic gases and oxygen, keeping him safely asleep throughout his procedure.

Step 5: Our wonderfully skilled and knowledgeable nursing team carefully monitors Oreo’s anaesthetic throughout his procedure

Step 6: Our vets perform the surgery

Step 7: Recover like nothing has happened in our cosy cat only hospital ward 💜

Step 8: HOME TIME 💜

Castration at Mulberry House Vets is recommended from 4 months old to prevent unwanted litters, roaming, fighting and some diseases. Most toms go home the same day and are back to normal within 48 hours, with full healing in about 7 days. Book via mulberryhousevets.co.uk or call 0118 402 8822.

Jack went missing on Sunday morning from the Tangley Drive area of Wokingham. He is black and white with a black marking over one of his eyes. He is microchipped but has no collar.

Nala is a female neutered cat with a pink collar that has a bell. She is a grey tabby with markings, and is microchipped. She has been missing from the Wicks Green area of Binfield since 13/10/26.

Our cat wards, consultation rooms and waiting areas are equipped with Zenifel Gel Diffusers, which release calming feline pheromones to help create a more relaxing environment, reduce stress and anxiety.

We also play gentle music in our cat wards, as studies have shown that cat-specific music can significantly reduce stress scores in cats.

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic full-time receptionist to join our team at Mulberry House Vets, across our Binfield and Wokingham practices 🐶🐱

Mulberry House Vets is a proudly independent practice, where exceptional client care, kindness and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do!

🐕 Veterinary experience is a bonus, but the right personality and attitude matter most 💜

🕒 Hours: Full-time, shifts between 8am -7pm weekdays (minimum 2 late finishes per week) and 1 in 5 Saturdays (8:30am–3pm). If you can't cover these hours, please don't apply
