A black male cat was found in the Newmains area of Wishaw. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us. He was unneutered and not microchipped.

We are trying our best to locate his owners to let them know what happened. If you have seen this cat recently, know someone who is missing a black male cat, or have information, please please contact us.

🧠✨ Always learning, always improving! ✨🧠

We were delighted to welcome Alex and Rachel from VSS for a Neurology lunch & learn with our team.

Our vets are passionate about keeping their knowledge and clinical skills up to date. What better way to do that than learning from Alex! 🧠🐾

It was a brilliant, practical session with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and pick up useful tips that we can put into practice every day.

We’re incredibly proud of our team’s commitment to providing the best possible care for your pets. ❤️

🧠✨ VSS Neurology in Action: Learning, Collaboration and Clinical Excellence ✨🧠

Our Neurologist Alex recently joined our BRM, Rachel, for a fantastic Lunch & Learn with the team at Wishing Well Vets, Wishaw.

Using one very beautiful (and slightly bonkers!) volunteer patient, Alex guided the team through a practical neurological examination before answering a wide range of questions from the practice team.

Alex's passion, knowledge and approachable teaching style made for an engaging session, with attendees taking away practical tips and insights they can apply directly in first-opinion practice.

At VSS, we're proud to offer CPD opportunities to our referring practices, helping to strengthen collaboration, support clinical development and ultimately improve patient care across our veterinary community.

A huge thank you to the team at Wishing Well Vets for their warm welcome and enthusiasm, and to Alex for being such an outstanding ambassador for VSS. 💜

💙 A BITTERSWEET FAREWELL TO MARTA 💙

On Friday, we said a very special goodbye to our lovely vet, Marta. 🥹🐾

After being such an important part of the Wishing Well team, Marta is sadly leaving us as she relocates to start an exciting new chapter down South 🏡✨

Marta has cared for so many of our patients during her time with us, always bringing her knowledge, compassion and kindness to everything she does. She has also been a wonderful colleague and a much-loved member of our little team ❤️

We’re incredibly sad to see her go, but we’re also so excited for her. Sometimes life takes us to new places — even if we’d much rather keep our favourite people close by!

Thank you for everything, Marta. We’ll miss you more than you know, and we wish you all the happiness and success in the world!
