Is your pet getting a little grey around the whiskers? 🐾

Our golden oldies deserve a little extra love… and we’re delighted to introduce our FREE senior pet clinic! ❤️

Exclusively for our registered clients, our senior pet clinic gives your older dog or cat dedicated one-to-one time with one of our Registered Veterinary Nurses — with no consultation fee. 🐶🐱

Your pet will receive a thorough top-to-toe health check, with plenty of time to chat about how they’re getting on.

We’ll look at things such as:
🐾 Weight & body condition
🐾 Mobility & stiffness
🐾 Appetite & drinking
🐾 Toileting
🐾 Behaviour & general wellbeing
🐾 Dental health
🐾 Any changes you’ve noticed at home

Sometimes the little changes we notice as owners can be easy to put down to “just getting old” — but they can also be early signs that something needs attention. If the nurse feels your pet would benefit from further investigation, they can discuss this with you and arrange a vet appointment if appropriate.

🩺 Want to look a little deeper?

You can also add a basic blood screen and urine dipstick for just £59!

These simple checks can give us extra information about what’s happening on the inside and may pick up changes that aren’t obvious from a physical examination alone.

🥰 Because getting older shouldn’t mean missing out…

We want to help your pets enjoy their golden years being happy, healthy and comfortable for as long as possible.

So if your four-legged friend is entering their senior years, why not give them a little MOT? 🐾❤️

📞 Speak to our reception team today by calling 01698 361136 to book your FREE Senior Pet Clinic appointment.

We can’t wait to see all our golden oldies! ❤️

📣 Our opening hours & open surgery update! 🐾

We’ve got a little update we’re excited to share!

Our open surgery (walk-in) service has been really well received, and we’ve had some lovely feedback from our clients since introducing it. 🥰

We’re delighted to say that, following its success, our open surgery is now here to stay! 🎉

This means that you can continue to pop in without an appointment on Monday mornings, making it easier to access veterinary care when you need us.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the service and taken the time to share your feedback — we really appreciate it! 🩵

Please see our updated opening hours below and save the post for future reference. 🐾

We look forward to continuing to provide accessible, affordable and convenient care for you and your pets! 🐕🐈🐇

🦔 A big thank you to our amazing clients! 🦔

Today we had a visit from Jenna from Hogamammas Hedgehog Rescue, who came along to collect all the wonderful donations that our kind clients have been dropping off 🥰

From food and supplies to other much-needed items, every donation makes a difference to the hedgehogs in Jenna’s care and helps support the amazing work she is doing 🦔🏡

We’re so grateful to everyone who took the time to donate — your generosity really does mean so much!

And of course, a huge thank you to Jenna for the incredible work she is doing caring for and rehabilitating these little spiky friends. 🦔✨

Thank you all for continued support and efforts in helping us help them! 🫶🏻

🚑🦔 VOLUNTEER HOGAMAMMAS AMBULANCE DRIVERS NEEDED! 🦔🚑

Hogamammas Hedgehog Rescue is looking for some kind-hearted, reliable volunteers to join our team as Hogamammas Ambulance Drivers! 💚

As our rescue continues to grow, so does the number of hedgehogs needing help. We’re looking for people who can occasionally help us get poorly, injured and vulnerable hedgehogs where they need to be.

Our ambulance drivers may be asked to help with:

🦔 Collecting hedgehogs from members of the public/veterinary practices
🏥 Transporting hedgehogs to and from veterinary appointments
🏡 Moving hedgehogs between Hogamammas and foster carers
🚑 Transporting urgent cases when required
📦 Collecting donations and essential supplies when needed
📦 dump runs
You don’t need any previous wildlife rescue experience. Full guidance will be provided, and you’ll be part of the Hogamammas team.

What we’re looking for:

💚 A reliable and responsible person
🚗 Access to a suitable vehicle and a full UK driving licence
⏰ Some flexibility to help when you’re available
🦔 Someone who is calm and compassionate around wildlife
📱 Good communication and the ability to respond to requests when you’re available
🤝 Someone who understands that rescue work can sometimes be unpredictable!

You don’t have to be available all the time. We completely understand that our volunteers have jobs, families and their own lives. Even helping with the occasional journey can make a huge difference.

All journeys will be discussed and agreed in advance wherever possible, and we will never expect you to put yourself under pressure to help when you aren’t available.

Every journey you make could be the difference between a hedgehog receiving treatment in time or having to wait.

If you’d like to become part of the Hogamammas team and help give Scotland’s hedgehogs a fighting chance, send us a message to find out more. 🦔💚

🚑 Hogamammas Ambulance — because sometimes our tiniest patients need a lift. 🦔
