Haven't done this in a while so let's get a tag train going!! If you run a small business tag yourself below and let people know what you do! This is always a nice way to see what's out there and you never know you might find your new favourite dog walker, or someone to help you with those winter gardening chores!!
I've recently seen a few adverts for a place in nearby Soham called The Dog Lounge and whilst I haven't had chance to get down there yet it looks great! Can also personally recommend Paws On Walks for petsitting/drop ins and Bramblebee Farms for the best milkshake!

We have a new phone number - we still have access to the old one so don't worry if you message that but our new number is 07427 205431
We were struggling with signal before so have moved to a new network which will hopefully be better 🙂🙂
We've also added some extra poo bag dispensers close to the bins and a torch for our evening visitors (my cute decorative lights on the shelter actually ended up just looking really silly )
As always, thank you all for being such a wonderful bunch of people!

As anyone who has visited the park in the evening recently will tell you, it is dark!! like lindt 80%, double shot of espresso DARK
We are working on it, but lighting a large field takes time and money, the solar lights never quite cut it! If you visit in the evening please bring a torch so you can see, we don't want anyone falling over!

It seems we got a bit over excited with growing stuff this year and I have eaten, pickled, chutneyed, frozen and fed to the chickens about as much as I can stand the sight of (haven't tried canning yet it scares me)
There's potatoes and carrots at the entrance to the dog park today which you are welcome to take if you'd like some- as with everything here at Elm Dog Park they are lumpy, bumpy and certainly not perfect but they are made with love!

*****IMPORTANT UPDATE******
Embarrassing post for us but.....It has come to our attention that bookings cancelled via the members area are not being automatically refunded as we thought they were!!
If you have cancelled a booking this way please check if you have received a refund and if not please get in touch so we can make it right.
We can only apologise for this and did not realise the refunds were not automatic.
Going forward to prevent this happening again we have adjusted settings so that whilst you can still reschedule an appointment yourself up to an hour before, any cancellations requiring a refund will need to be done by us.

As we start to move into autumn can we please also remind people that torches will be required if your appointment is in the evening (watch this space for lighting updates) and whilst we will always aim to accommodate rescheduling we won't be able to offer refunds due to rain (unless the park is flooded/torrential)

Again we apologise for this issue and thank you for your understanding!

Poop....again!!
I'm running out of ways to word this but it's worth one more try so I'm handing over to you guys for ideas!
We check the park every night, if there's an empty half hour in the day we go out then too, we have 6 bins, endless rolls of bags, sanitiser and signs but still we are getting constant messages about poo being left. Please guys, pay attention to your dog when you visit so you can notice if they poo and then pick it up! I don't know what else we can do at this point, visiting between each booking simply isn't feasible so we are genuinely open to ideas!
Graeme suggests a park map whiteboard so you can mark as an avoidance area and we can see it when we go in, so we can be sure we don't miss any at night?
I appreciate this is going to happen and there will always be some poo but it's getting so disheartening now.

🚧 GOSMOOR LANE ROAD CLOSURES 🚧

We have been notified that over the next few days there's going to be some road repairs and closures along Gosmoor lane
We are assured access will be maintained and bookings will be unaffected but please be aware there may be congestion

Okay normally I try to be a fun-guy (see what I did there) but I have to be serious now!
It has been brought to our attention today that there are some mushrooms growing at the park
This is something that of course is a risk in any open field area but not something I want to ignore! I will endeavour to remove any I come across but can I please ask all visitors to be vigilant and keep an eye to ensure your dog isn't munching anything they shouldn't! I am no foraging expert so unfortunately cannot say what type they are - I was once told "all mushrooms are edible -however some are only edible once" so I'm going to stick to that advice!!
If anyone is able to educate me on what's there please feel free!!
