I’m excited to announce that evening appointments are now available two days a week, making it easier to fit your pup’s grooming around work, family, and everyday life. 🥰

The last evening grooming appointment will be at 6:15pm. If you’re looking for just a nail trim, teeth clean, or ear plucking and/or cleaning, the last availability will be at 7:00pm. ⏰

Whether you’re a regular customer or new to Amy’s Pampered Pooches, you and your pup are always welcome. 🐾💕

🌡️🐾 HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR DOG OWNERS 🐾🌡️

With temperatures rising, it’s important to remember that what feels warm to us can be dangerous for our dogs. ☀️🐶

Please use this handy temperature guide when deciding whether to walk your dog. Heatstroke can develop quickly and can be life-threatening, especially for puppies, senior dogs, overweight dogs, and flat-faced breeds such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, and Bulldogs.

💡 Top tips for hot days:
🐾 Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
🐾 Always carry fresh water
🐾 Stick to shaded routes where possible
🐾 Check the pavement temperature with the back of your hand for 5 seconds
🐾 Never leave your dog in a parked car

Remember, no walk is worth risking your dog’s health. If in doubt, skip the walk and provide enrichment games at home instead. ❤️

Hi everyone! 👋

For those who are new here, I’m Amy, the owner and groomer behind Amy’s Pampered Pooches based in Wisbech.

I am a fully qualified, one-to-one dog groomer who is passionate about helping dogs look and feel their best. Whether your dog needs a full groom, a bath and brush, puppy introduction, nail trim, ear cleaning, teeth cleaning, or a tidy-up between grooms, I’m here to help.

☀️🐾 HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR OUR PUPS 🐾☀️

As the temperatures start to rise, it’s so important to keep our dogs safe in the heat! Dogs can suffer from heatstroke much quicker than we realise, especially flat-faced breeds, puppies, older dogs, larger breeds, and overweight dogs. 🥵

💛 20–23°C – take it easy with low-intensity walks
🧡 24–27°C – high risk of heatstroke
❤️ 28°C+ – dangerous for all dogs

A few top tips to keep your pooch safe:
🐶 Walk early morning or late evening
💧 Always provide fresh, cool water
🌳 Stick to shaded areas
🚫 Never leave dogs in cars
🐾 Check pavements with your hand before walks

If your dog seems excessively panting, lethargic, drooling, vomiting, or struggling in the heat, contact your vet immediately.
