Oh look at them teefs 🤣🤣

Someone is having fun with her ball 🥰 obviously the photography is not up to the Boss’s high standards 🤦🏽‍♀️ we are preying she can come back next year and get some decent shots of the guests 🤪

With the bank holiday fast approaching we are hoping for the weather to stay kind to us….yes I know we all need rain 😜 but not during the day please 🙏

It’s been another busy and looong summer for us here at the kennels, we are ever grateful for your continued support. 2027 is already booking up 🥴 obviously people are planning ahead more these days.

We will be having the odd break here and there where the bookings allow so if you know your dates in advance please book so we can ensure you have a kennel. Obviously we won’t be planning anything during the peak seasons and school holidays.

September is another busy month then things start to calm down until Christmas 🎅 and I go and visit the Boss in November leaving my assistant in charge 🧐 I so hope he behaves and doesn’t end up with a black eye like the last time I left him 🤦🏽‍♀️🥴

Good morning 😊 phew what a relief, the drop in temperatures is much appreciated 🥵 perhaps things will start to get easier maintaining our gardens as it’s quite a task at the end of the day watering our veg 🤣🤣 and don’t get me started on the state of the grass 🥴.

Anyway onto a serious note and one I have mentioned several times but after someone felt let down by us recently I thought I would explain again, if you want to book a kennel and you have already booked your flights first, I cannot guarantee that we will have a kennel, always always always ask us first then book the holiday and most importantly get your deposit paid that day as the kennel is not reserved until the deposit has been received. Me telling you we have availability can change by the hour especially September as many people try and grab a last minute get away. I will always let you know the deposit amount and the account details but from now on I’m not chasing people, very often when I have the people don’t want the kennel so I feel as if I have been wasting my time keeping check on everyone.

The majority of you pay right away and I appreciate that 🙏 you will then get a confirmation text as soon as possible if l haven’t messaged you please drop me a text just to make sure I’ve got it.

We really don’t want to let you down 😥 but equally I can not be messaging people 3 or 4 times checking if they still want a kennel.

So to recap 🧐 just like your holiday company or hotel, to book you need to pay a deposit at point of booking and balance to be paid on or before drop off. Some people prefer to pay in instalments and that too is perfectly fine but nothing is reserved for you until the deposit reaches the correct account.

Sorry to be a grouch in this Monday morning but if you know me you know I’m a real worrier trying to keep everyone happy and because of this it effects my health 🤕 and in turn poor Fred’s sanity 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

CLOSURE 16-25 October 2026.

We are having a much needed week of R & R in October.

We just wanted to let customers know that we have planned a weeks re set for body and mind in October from 16th October to the 25th October.

We won’t be resting too much as we have a few jobs to do in the kennels before winter sets in 🤦🏽‍♀️ but please don’t tell Fred that 🤪

Sorry for any inconvenience caused as I have had to let down a few of our customers and that’s not something we like doing here 😢

We are also hoping to get away in January but no dates have been fixed as yet so if you are also thinking of a winter break please 🙏 please 🙏 let us know your plans early so we can try and work around you.

Once again many thanks for all of your support over the years we appreciate each and every one of you but now we are short staffed 😜🧐 with Nicola up and leaving us we will have to have a few days off every now and then as we are getting old 🤪🤣🤕

ROAD WORKS NOTICE

Thank goodness the temperatures have returned to a more acceptable level 🤣 the dogs coped extremely well in their air condition kennels 🙄 I however was melting 🤣 the dog feed room reached 43 degrees 🥵 and trust me I was a tad crabby 🥴

This week looks to be a nice one so there will be no time restrictions for you dropping dogs off and collecting them 🥰 just book your time slots as and when you know your plans and I will try and accommodate.

If you haven’t booked your summer holidays yet there are very limited spaces July and August with some weeks fully booked with waiting lists 😢 September is also historically a very busy month too so if you are looking to go away then I would suggest you book up soon.

Good morning to you all, the upcoming weather seems to be causing some concern (not so sure we need hot weather warnings 🤣) anyway fear not we are well used to caring for dogs in hot weather.

ALL of our kennels which are in use are heated in winter and cooled in summer (when needed) without the aircon the kennels still remain cool and we monitor the dogs regularly throughout the day. We do not let the dogs out in the hottest times of the day and for those who like a paddle the pools are full. There is fresh water available AT ALL TIMES in the kennels and this is checked throughout the day.

What you must remember is we are governed by licensing regulations which states minimum and maximum temperatures which we adhere to. All of our kennels are inside which makes them shaded and cooler anyway. There is no extra charge for the air conditioning unlike some kennels)

Obviously our working day is longer at the moment and we are quite frazzled ourselves 🤪 one of us more grouchy than the other 😇

We would advise bringing the dogs earlier in the day and collecting early too to try and avoid too much stress in the hottest part of the day. We would urge you all to make sure they are with us by 9-9:30 at the latest as it really starts to heat up by then.

Ladies and gents please please remember you have not booked your dog into kennels unless we have received your deposit. We work pretty much like hotels and holiday companies no deposit no booking.

We would hate to let you down if you turn up thinking you have booked. We do specify on your enquiry the balance and deposit required to secure the booking. From May on we are getting extremely busy and some dates are now fully booked 🥴
